Muppet Drums Sticks

I was wondering if anyone knows what the drums sticks are made out of? I'm going to try and makes some and wanted to ask for a little help.

Usually they are thin wooden dowels with a knob on the end.

It's just they look rubbery. Like there made from rubber. I know that when they do any type of show or anything with drums or anything music like they edit it so you won't hear the real sound with the better music. So I know that when Animal would drum he's not using real drum sticks there rubber lookin. I'm trying my best to make some for my puppets to use (if I ever can) when I do live shows. So I need some help. Here's my solution. I was thinking of using those old eraser sticks but make them longer.

Maybe if you check out craft and hardware stores you might find something like a hose or rubber pipe?

I haven't found anything yet for my drum sticks but I thought I would use old easers. The ones that are really long.

If you dont find your erasers, you could always use plastic drinking straws and block the ends with tissue paper.

You know that might work too. I just didn't want any sound coming from the sticks. But I'll see what happens and let you know. Thanks again for the idea.

Why not use some foam and wire?
