Aw, that's why I knew I should've stuck on the forums earlier tonight! Sorry, but I left the table to make a call to Lanford and ask him to watch the repeat of Charmed Season 6 premiere with Bella, my black bat, so she'd know what happened and then tell me. And then I got a bat-message from a fiend of mine telliing me how the Cubs beat the Braves to win Game 1 of the NLDS. And when I came back to the table, I found out that Kyle already brought us our meal before I had a chance to change the order. Well, I'll say this for you guys, spaghetti and hamburgers? That's one weird seafood restaurant, but I guess it's gotta d iversify if it wants to remain competitive in the biz. Well, let's dig in.

*Flash forward to end of meal.*
OK, here's what we'll do Mokey. We'll bring the extra leftovers back to the dorm and put the majority of the dishes in the fridge.
Mokey: "And the crackers?"
Those we can give to Lanford as reward for watching the show I asked him, along with a portion of my salad.
Mokey: "Well, if you think so, I'm not sure he'd like the octopus tentacles though. But he does need a little meat in his diet from time to time, so maybe they'll do him good."
Yes, and the leftover shrimps can be scooped out, at least from my salad, and we'll give some of them to Bella.
Mokey: "But don't bats dislike garlic?"
Not necessarily, besides she loves shrimp as much as I do.
Mokey: "And what will we do with the fried clams?"
Those we'll put in a wrapper and divide when we get back home. Add a few extra crackers from the curtious waiter who brought extras, and we'll drop them off at Oscar's trashcan before going back downstairs to our room.
Mokey: "That sounds like a good plan to me, Eduardo."
Good, then it's settled, let's pay up and then we can get back to our rooms.

Well, guys, it's been a real treat it has. So, will we pay the check? Oh no, don't worry about it, my treat.
And Aaron, I'd like to watch Jimmy Kimmel with you and see our favorite frog make a cameo, but we gotta get up early for the transport shuttle to the campus.
Hope you understand and have a good night.

*rubs eyes sleepily*

I think I may have overslept...by a few weeks...dang... Can I leave an alarm-call for 2004 please?

Meantimes, for those of you who were wondering what this room looks like, here's a part of it:

Ok, this is what we have:

On the shelves at the left you can see a very small part of my Lego collection, some computer manuals and a spare motherboard which will eventually be used to build another computer. The stereo system above the monitors is plugged into the computer; that's all it's used for now. The shelf below it is temporary - there should be a model railway in there but it's in storage right now. For the moment it holds some junk, a model TARDIS and the Swedish Chef.

On the desk are: a long line of CD-R and DVD-R discs, a small desk fan (essential in the summer!) and some miscellaneous junk. Then there's the computer... Yes, that's two monitors  Both running at 1600x1200. The one Red is sitting on is the main display; the other is used for applications I don't need immediate access to, but want to be able to glance at from time to time. Next to them are my scanner and printer, and just off the right edge of the picture is a 20" widescreen TV I use as a video monitor for the stack of gear below the scanner. The blue column to the left of the video kit is my main computer. She's called 'Janice' The room is networked: there's another computer hidden under the desk to the left of the chair which runs the network and acts as a firewall. Normally there would be a laptop (called 'Zoot') sitting on the desk, but I've just got back from a trip, so it's still in its travel case. The new machine to be built next year will be called 'Floyd', and I have plans to build 'Animal' and 'DrTeeth' at some stage. The network name is of course 'ELECTRICMAYHEM'. All the video gear is interconnected and ultimately plugs into the computer. I have the means to get both PAL and NTSC video in and out of the computer, as well as to copy from one to the other on VHS. The bottom machine is a laserdisc player, although it doesn't see much use.

Off-camera, well, I'll leave to your imaginations! This being a hall, I guess there'd be beds and closets and stuff

SPOILER: this is what's really there!

Off-camera, the Lego shelves extend down the rest of the wall. There is a second desk which mirrors the one you can see; there's another monitor sitting in the corner there waiting for 'Floyd'. Then there's the door, and the other wall is taken up with an old and battered sofa

So many questions, so little time!

1 Anathema, where do you and the real Janice sleep? Inside the computer monitors? Or does that old battered sofa convert into a double-decker twin bed? And what sort of logo do you have marking the outside room's door?
2 Kyle, where are the Monsters going? Las Vegas? Why would they want to go there? How they'd get the bucks for a trip to Vegas? Well, have a good trip, though it'll sure be lonely around here without them.
3 Went to the stores late afternoon/early evening with Mokey, and we found the S5 figures down here in my neck of the woods. However, the Gonzo and Janice figures weren't 100% perfect, but I ended up taking a figure of Pepe and the Newsman. Hope to get the other two this weekend and add them to my figure display.
Hope this helps and have a good night.

So many Answers and Questions.

1. U know Role Play? Well I thought we could do a road trip w/ the monsters or other characters. So it will be like this Monster go and then Me, U (Count), Mokey, Aaron, Newsman and the rest of the gang go to get them out of a jam that the monster get into on acatent (bad spelling) So it could go like that. Hows that for a fun thing to happen at Collage? If u want we could start tomorrow when I find out about the monster getting in bad things that get them kiddnaped from where ever they were. If u don't thats fine. Thank about it and tell me how u like it.

1 Would such a scenario be deemed as happening "on college"? I mean, the monsters taking a bus trip, getting in trouble, getting kidnapped, and then the rest of us having to go to rescue them... would that necessarily have a tie-in to the college dorms and college campus life we've created here in this vonderful thread?
2 Mayhaps the better solution would be for you to start your own role-playing game based on that scenario in another thread, either in the Sesame Street thread or better yet, in the Fun & Games section of the forum.
3 Other than that, I think we've doing an OK job "role-playing" within the given parameters of this thread's functionality. We've come to the dorms, chosen a Muppet roommate, designed/furnished our own rooms, had interactions with the other boarders here in the dorms, and evolved that into the surrounding environment of the college campus. The thread's vorking purrrrr-fectly for its purrrrr-poses so far, so why go and mess with it?

Ah, there's something in the air! By the pricking of my thumbs, something haunted this way comes! Yes, it's my favorite time of the fear! Shocktober!
And you can tell that it's that time of fear, cause we've gotten some lovely pumpkins to carve into jack o'lanterns. Such spooky faces in such spooky places, these two jack o's will go great at the sides of the steps just before entering the dorm building. Oh hey Rizzo, you might want to be careful when eating that jack o'lantern's pumpkin shell. After all, it might end up eating you!
*Evil laughter ensues.
