Muppet College Dorms: The Next Semester

Kelly (eats lunch in the common room while Cotterpin has some food pellets, starts dancing around the room, singing): I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream!
I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.
Yet I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem ...
But if I know you, I know what you do *runs into the corner of a table* Ouch!

Cotterpin: That's what you get for being some weird lovey-dovey sicko!

Kelly (rubs her stomach, then sings again): You love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream! *sighs contentedly, to Cotterpin* You're one to talk. You turn red at the mere mention of Waldo!

Cotterpin (blushes): I do NOT! *pauses* I think I liked you better depressed! You don't even act that way around Spike!

Kelly: I don't know why that is -- it's like *sighs happily* I've been struck by Cupid's arrow. I can't control myself. I want to send whole fields of flowers to Digit. I want moonlit walks on the beach.

Cotterpin: Um, we don't have a beach. Do we?

Kelly: Doesn't matter ... I can't explain my sudden cheerfulness, Cotterpin. You'd think school would still stress me out ... but not even that can dampen my new mood. I'm just ... just ... *shrugs* happy!

Cotterpin: Spike didn't slip ya some of that happy plant he had that one time, did he?

Kelly (shakes head): Nope. It's like I feel the magic inside me, like everything bad in the world just poofed into thin air. *throws herself happily on the sofa, staring at the ceiling* I feel so good.

Cotterpin (yells angrily): I'd feel better if you GOT ME DOWN FROM THIS COUNTER!

Kelly (staring at Cotterpin intently, amused): Go on, Cotterpin. Take the flowers. Don't blush now!

Cotterpin (blushing): I'm not ... I'm not blushing. *sniffs flowers* They're wonderful, Waldo. *glances behind him at Kelly* I'M NOT BLUSHING! *to Waldo, whispering* Get me outta here, will ya? I'm afraid whatever she's got is catching.

Cotterpin (nods): Let's go to Doozer Dome. I'd love ... I mean ... *sighs* I'd love to show you off to my folks. We can get there through room 2. I bet everybody'd be real happy to meet you.

Kelly (spies Cait, smiles): Oh, hi, Caitlyn! *sighs happily* I'm just SUPER! *glances around* Digit's still working on that story, isn't he? Wow. It's taking forever. I bet he'll need time to decompress after that major event is over. *raises hand* I volunteer to help! *blushes* Sorry ... how've you been? When is your band going to Disney World?

 

[The Count]

*Happy sigh. *Pats both personal project books.
Uncle D, pointing at the tomes bound in loving black: What are those?

This... *Holds up the one that has Kermit on a lilypad in the center of the outer cover surrounded by—in star formation starting with directly behind the frog and moving counterclockwise—Sam from Sam & Friends, Big Bird, Gobo Fraggle, Clifford, and Bear from the Big Blue House... Is the master Muppet Listings, Volume 19. All's been touched up after a few more from Mopatop's got added. 27 productions and 3150 entries.
Count: 3152! Counting the four entries who are shared half-points with Sesame of course.

And this, the second book... Marked by the seal of Numbervania, a silver bat-eared and winged road sign shield with the land's name and 13 in the shield's center in darker red lettering... It holds all the haunters so far lined up to be brought into the cast of counted souls. All 150 so far are in a sort of 5x5 class photo formation in various groupings of such, individual pages/photos have yet to be added.
Count: And don't forget about the third, which completes our trilogy.
Yes... Have to charge up the camera's battery for that project. But these two... They're at a point of perfection that I'm satisfied with them... For now.
Count: Yes, ve still have to add all the vonderful entries from my adopted home of Sesame Street.
True... That, however my fiends, can wait.

*Puts both books back on the shelf near the computer, then lies back on the couch for a bit of a rest.

Kelly: Wow, Digit must be a writing MACHINE. *gasps, then laughs with embarrassment* Um, so to speak, y'know? Um, ahem. Anyways, well, if Spike plans on coming back, I still have 3 spots available, unless there are different rules for sleepovers. I'd guess there are, since Cotterpin's hung out with you guys every now and again. Rose, huh? *blushes* I guess maybe I should have left a note, but I forgot, heehee. I got him one. Been thinking about it since the birthday party. I didn't want to get him a rose at the party though, or then it might look bad in front of Lindbergh, like I was playing favorites or something. I had this weird dream where he and I sang the closing number from Grease. "You're the One That I Want". Bizarre, isn't it? I mean, it's not like I didn't WANT Digit there. But ... sorry ... I'll stop babbling now.

Kelly (hears sound of shattering glass): Wow. This place goes through more windows. And the funny thing was, I thought we were on the basement level. I didn't even know there WERE windows.

 

[The Count]

Well yeah... The basement has windows... Kind of how like you see the street-level banister and window of Bert & Ernie's apartment from the visible outer base wall of 1-2-3 Sesame Street.

Kelly: Ah, that makes sense.

Kelly (shakes Cait's hand): Well, Cait ... I'm gonna go to bed. As much fun as it's been, the fact is, Cotterpin's down in the Rock with Waldo and Spike's over in Pangaea. Thanks for talkin' to me, though. Hope you an' Digit have a good night. Don't go playing any weird music on your iPod, Cait, heheh. I'd really like to sleep all through tonight ... and your music is twisting its way into my head. *laughs* 'Night! *goes back to room 2*
