(Gang's setting up the common room for a campfire sing-along)
Beige: Though not with a real campfire - fire marshal would have a fit.
Storyteller: Who wants marshmallows in their cocoa, and who wants chocolate chips?
Scooter: Has anyone seen my string winder? My guitar needs a new low E string.
Erin: Can I unplug something so we have enough room for the lava lamp and the star projector?
Nora: I need some help moving the coffee table here.
(Eventually, the gang is seated on the floor, sitting on cushions or wrapped in quilts. Everyone has cocoa, the lights are off and the lava lamp is burbling, while the tabletop star projector shines some springtime constellations on the ceiling.)
Scooter: (tuning his guitar) Any requests?
Nora: Let's do that one by the Eagles - "Love Will Keep Us Alive."
(Scooter starts to play, and all start to sing.)
I was standing, all alone against the world outside...
You were searching for a place to hide...
Lost and lonely, now you've given me the will to survive...
When we're hungry...love will keep us alive.
Don't you worry...sometimes you've got to let it ride...
The world is changing, right before your eyes...
Now I've found you, there's no more emptiness inside...
When we're hungry...love will keep us alive.
I would die for you...climb the highest mountain...
Baby, there's nothing I wouldn't do...
Now I've found you, there's no more emptiness inside...
When we're hungry, love will keep us alive.
I would die for you...climb the highest mountain...
Baby...there's nothing I wouldn't do...
I was standing...all alone against the world outside,
You were searching, for a place to hide...
Lost and lonely, now you've given me the will to survive...
When we're hungry...love will keep us alive...
When we're hungry...love will keep us alive...
(Scooter finishes playing.)
Storyteller: Mmm...now let's do Kumbaya.
