That's a great idea Herry. What day/when do you want to have the party?
Herry: I was thinking around tomorrow. Kyle told me that he and his brother-in-law are taking his sister/wife out to Dallas for her birthday and he didn't know what time he would be back on Sunday. Or i was also thinking. We could have it the next weekend. Whatever sounds good for you?

*Leaves computer for a sandwich brake. *Finds/listens to Herry's message. Hmm, well, we'll be celebrating Friday the 13th tomorrow. Couple of cats I know have bat-days this weekend too. *Pats/rubs Fatatatita's head. I'll head out to the store tomorrow afternoon and we can have the party later on in the evening hours. Ah, Friday the 13th, Eve of ValennTomb's Day. *Chuckles evilly.

Beige: Step on a crack, break your mother's back...don't walk under ladders...throw salt over your left shoulder for good luck...
Nora: Wow, Beige, you sound just like Boober. All you need is a lucky flowerpot and you're all set.
Storyteller: Beige, Beige, Beige, this Friday the 13th silliness is all superstition.
Beige: Uh-huh...and why will you never go near the Whistling Caverns on the first Monday after the full moon?
Storyteller: That's different.
Scooter: I don't know...I'm more worried about how Valentine's Day is the day after tomorrow.
Erin: Yeah, you and me both. I've said this before, but I know someone who calls Valentine's Day "Singles Awareness Day."
Scooter: Go figure. (spots a card on the table) What's this? "M is for the mystic stuff you dream up, O is for the opals your eyes look like, K is for the..."
Beige: (swiping card away from Scooter) Excuse me, that's privileged information!
Nora: Oh, Beige, do you still have that crush on...
Beige: (retreating into room) No, not a crush...security Fraggles don't have crushes, it's bad for morale...
Storyteller: He still has a crush. Of course, Nora, you get kerwallops of the heart over...
Nora: (hissing) Storyteller...
Scooter: Who is it? Why is it a big...(pause) Oh.
Erin: (sigh) Look, people, when Valentine's Day rears its ugly head on Saturday, let's just do what we did last year: set up the fondue pot and tell jokes or sing some old folk songs or something.

Been watching The Muppets Go To The Movies again Erin? Well, I know I'm done with trying to get a date for this weekend's awards. So maybe I'll just put ma feet up and listen to some MCR or 60's Oldies on da computer. *Uncle Deadly skulks off to deliver the invitations penned and counted by :batty:.

Kim: (muttering to self) New notebook, new battery for my watch, need to make a list of what comics I'm looking for...hmm, do I really need to get that audiobook or not?
Boober: (aghast)...you're not thinking of going out today of all days, are you?
Kim: I'm not working today and the weather is optimal (so far). Why not?
Boober: Because it's Friday the 13th, that's why! You're tempting fate by just walking out that door!
Gillis: Oh, have a little faith in her lad! Not all of us need to hide under a blanket to face this day.
Boober: Can't your errands wait until tomorrow?
Kim: Nope; I'm working. Covering a Saturday shift for a coworker. Oh, that reminds me, I need to get Valentine's cards still...
Boober: (sighs)

Well... Look at it this way Boober, at least there's a certain luck in that there are three Friday the 13th's this year, the date, not the movie that is. Might leave later tonight to see it, and Coraline as well, we've been dying to watch that one. And next month, well, maybe a bit of Friday the 13th's bad luck gets negated with the luck of the Irish on the 17th. That reminds me, still have to get that St. Patrick's Kermit with Bagpipes DisPin. *Fatatatita purrs at my heels. And a scary bat-day to you my darkling. Yes, Count's gone to the supermarket and then Hooper's if he doesn't find what we need for tonight's feast. We're having bat burgers of course, devilled egg fritatas (maybe that'll perk Kathy into stopping by), and ghoulish pita chips with black humus. Mmmm... Whazat? Yes, chocolate brownies too. *Ties a black velvet ribbon around her neck and pats/huggles her fondly. Oh it's a vonderfully frightful day in the dorms, and the neighborhood too. *Cues up Very Superstitious while continuing to count away.

*At the common room... Okay Uncle D, just crack the eggs into the skillet and poke the yolks.
Count, drop the drained black beans into the Oozesterizer would you?

Count: Sure, but vhat happened with the black olives?
Well, thought this way would give it better flavor as well as color.
*Measuring a quarter cup of taziki sauce.

UD: Anything else?
Yes, bathe the onions and peppers in the hot sauce and paprika mixture.
*Bats help by peeling and slicing garlic cloves for the dishes.

Say Count do you have the pita chips?
Count: Yes, vhat should I do with them?
Put them on a baking sheet and sprinkle some garlic powder on them, just a little. They'll bake in the oven for a short while, then come out nice and toasty.

*Adds garlic and a good dose of black pepper to the "humus", along with some lemon juice.

Okay, I need one of you two to eyeball the olive oil as it's streamed into the chips' dipping sauce.

*Count chops up some spicy sausage as Uncle D mans the food pro.
*Burgers are grilling up, they've been cut into bat-like shapes. *Removes bottles of black cherry soda, chilled of course out of the fridge and starts to serve into the skulled punch bowl.

Mmm, this'll be a groovishly ghoulishly great Friday the 13th!
