Announcement.

Apologies to all... My internet connection was non-existent all ay yesterday, it came back about an hour agao and I'm doing my best to catch up.

So welcome to the first day of the dorms 3rd anniversary. There's lots to get to and we'll have a celebratory dinner tonight, and a party on the weekend.

First things first... The review committee has been finalized, and there is a new position here. Beth will be serving as Assistant Manager, so if you can't contact me or I can't get here, please direct your questions to her and she'll help as best she can until I am able to get to the dorms.

Secondly, here's the register for the new term. If yu don't see your name posted, then please have some patience as your case will be submitted to the review committee and an answer will be had as soon as they've all made their decision known.

You will be receiving Email messages to confirm your admission to the dorms.
Additionally, Catherine, I need your full application submission please.

You'll notice that we're trying to fill up the first two bottom floors before assigning any rooms on the upper two floors, this is to make sure that everybody's next to each other and the people participating at the dorms will do so.


Thirdly, here are the new rules for the dorms.
1 Application Information.
Please fill out the following form.

Birthday: (Please provide the birthdate for each member in your party, if you happen to know it or find it within the proper Muppet research sources). If you can't find the Muppets' exact birthdates, then the airdate of their first onscreen appearance or the birthday of their respective Muppeteers will do instead.
E-Mail Address, if you wish to maintain updated on current events.

2 Roommates.
The one rule we insist upon here at the MC Dorms when choosing a roommate...
You can have any Muppet character you want, save obvious ineligible choices like baby Muppets, so long that character or characters haven't been taken
by anyone else.

Additionally, to save on headaches...
a. Number of Roommates.
From now on, the limit of roommates one person can have is a total of five (5) roommates. Just because you can have five roomies doesn't necessarily mean
that you have to have five roomies. You can have just two or three or four. It's up to you guys when filling out the forms.
b. Roommate Choices.
Yes, you can decide to change your roommates if you arrive at that decision. However, I would ask that you think long and hard before submitting any changes
to your current party's roster. The roommates you choose are the characters others will associate with you, and I would prefer to avoid another "revolving
room" situation like what happened in previous years.

3 Participation.
The best example of this I can think of is SkeeterMuppet, known to us as Kim. She wasn't plugged in here every single moment, every single day. Her posts
weren't every single other post in the thread. However, she still managed to post moderately/normally enough to evidence that she was involved, in her
own and in dormwide activities.
So if you're going to join, please make an effort to post regularly and show you're part of the group.

4 Review Committee.
This is a select group of six (6) people who are among the most active longtime members of the dorms. The committee will report their decisions to Beth, who in turn will keep me informed or defer any cases to myself in the event of a tie vote when deciding on new applicants' submissions.

5 Dorm Life.
Once you become part of the dorms, you'll be expected to:
a. Provide a room layout, but only if you truly wish to do so to let others know about how you have your particular little domains arranged. (
b. Submit your dorm robe preferences for each member of your party. Include main color, sleeve/trim color, and whatever additional detailing. We will attempt to get you your robes as quickly as possible, no guarantees though.
c. Interact normally/naturally, both with your own roomies and with others should you see them hanging out or engaged in dorm activities.

6 Other Rules/Notes.
a. The roommate(s) you choose will be the ones you yourself can interact with directly, no questions asked, so long as it doesn't go beyond the Muppety
norm.
Ex: If I choose to room with my namesake, then I can have The Count von Count appear wherever I choose, interacting with the rest of you guys.
b. The roommate(s) chosen by others can not be directly controlled by others, unless in the following circumstances:
1. Grand musical number/song that involves other characters that aren't your roommate(s) nor even registered as roommates.
2. When someone has asked you specifically to look after their roommates, or arrangements to that effect have been made.
c. There will be periodical dormwide events, including but not limited to:
1. Annual trip to Sesame Street on its birthday, November 10 or that weekend.
2 Thanksgiving Day lunch/dinner, if there are enough people around here to attend.
3. Christmas celebrations.
4 Individual birthdays or other parties as such.
5. Any Hensonville sporting events.
d. Any person not registered as a dorm resident should contact me first with whatever questions about dorm life. Would appreciate you not post in the thread until your questions have been answered, and hopefully (if approved) you are allowed to move in as a registered dorm resident.

Erin: And the other - here he comes with Storyteller.

(Storyteller and Beige emerge from the nearest Fraggle hole)

Storyteller:...they're Silly Creatures, but trust me, they're mostly harmless.
Beige: Well, if I could get used to you Rock Fraggles and all your crazy stunts...
Storyteller: Mmm, yes...ah, there they are. The Silly Creature with glasses is Erin, and the two Muppets are Nora and...oh, my, we're rooming with Scooter now.
Erin: Hi, Storyteller...everything's going to be here soon. It's nice to meet you, Beige.
Beige: Hello, everyone.
Scooter: Hey, Beige, you sound just like me!
Beige: Oh...so I do, very interesting.
Scooter: Do you know who Richard Hunt is?
Beige: Can't say I do...
Erin: He's one of the resident angels - you must meet him. (glances at watch) I've got to run somewhere before we can move in. The van should be along shortly, okay?

Red: It should be, we spent all sorts of time working on it before we left
Beth: Seems a bit empty too, but we should be filling up the space soon

Wanda: Well I'm here right now!
Beth: Welcome back!
Red: Hi Wanda! I don't think you have met my best friend from the Rock, Mokey
Wanda: It's nice to meet you, I understand we'll have alot in common
Mokey: Yes I have heard you enjoy music quite a bit. So do I.
Beth: Now we just need Abby to get here
*Suddenly there is a poof of pink smoke causing the three of them to cough*
Abby: Here I am!
Red: Wow you're getting better at that magic stuff
Abby: Well sort of, my mommy had to help me with the spell, but it worked and now I'm here!
Beth: All right ladies, we need to start unpacking and setting up camp. The way I figured is that we'll bunk the beds on either side of the room and then set everything else up in the middle again.
*they set to unpacking*

Kim: *opening the door to Room #19* Ah, here we are, guys. Home again.
Tosh: It's too bad Betty Lou couldn't join us this year.
Kim: Yeah, I know Tosh. But, you never know. We might be able to find someone else to room with us.
Boober: Speaking of roommates, Mokey's moved back into the dorm. She's rooming with Beth.
Gillis: And the Beige Cave Fraggle has moved in with Erin.
Kim: Wow, you Fraggles are popping up all over the place, aren't you?
Boober: We don't...pop...exactly.
Kim: Never mind. Let's get unpacked, okay?

Storyteller: Hold your horses, Beige, I think she's got someone already.
Beige: What? No - I meant - well, I just wanted to know how she was doing.
Nora: (lurches through, carrying a box of kitchen utensils) Excuse me, I've got a bunch of glasses in here! (stumbles on to kitchen)
Scooter: (lugging large box) Erin? Where do you want these back issues of Gumshoe Weekly?
Erin: (staggering in, carrying a lamp in one arm and a box of books in another) Put those in my room, down the hall, second door on the right. Nora, did I put one of my teapots in that box?
Nora: I don't think so...(trips) Whoa!
Beige: Got it! (catches box, which pins him to the ground) Ooof...
Erin: Nice save, Beige. (picks box up and sets it on counter) Scooter, there's a coin bank shaped like R2-D2 in one of these boxes. Is that yours?
Scooter: Oh, yeah, I've been looking for that.
Erin: Okay, I'll put this in your room, first door on the left.

Mokey: Oh, that's Landford, here, put him over on this shelf by my bed.

Well, here we are! It's just too bad Lips couldn't be with us.

Janice: Rully. At least we have each other.

Dr. Teeth: Where exactly did Lips go to?

No clue. All I know is that it had to do with hanging a picture in Barbados.

Zoot: Why can't I feel my arms?

Floyd: Because, you chose to carry most of the stuff, for some strange reason.

Animal: BAD CHOICE!

Right. Well, why don't you just drop the stuff off? We still have to get some other things. Animal, don't chew on the doorknob. Let's go.

Dr. Teeth: Right.

Janice: Fer sure!

Animal: YES!

Zoot: Where is Barbados?

Floyd: Somewhere in the Caribbeans.

Zoot: Ohhhh! That explains it all!

Floyd: *to himself* Freak city.

First day!

Dr. Van Neuter:

It's been so long since I've roomed up with someone! I wonder where is Mulch? Mulchie! Mulchie! Ohhhh, I guess it is not with him. Strange! Well, I wont have to deal with him this year. *Starts unpacking hastily* I'm glad I won't be rooming up with that Honeydew! *Laughs maliciously*

Ooo! Is that my clear nail polish? I've been looking for that!

Beaker:

Meee?
*Stumbles over Neuter's stuff*

Dr. Van Neuter:

Oh watch it! You could have hurt yourself! Oh wait...you did! Do not worry! I have a First Aid Kit right here. I hope you are not hurt too ba- *Looks at the boy and gasps* I'm rooming with the lab rat's meeping assistant?

Bunsen:

What a cozy little room! It's so spacious too! Oh Beaker, what are you doing sprawled carelessly on the floor like that? You shouldn't be so rude, dear lad! It will give a bad impression on our mystery roomie! Oh how exciting!

I am humbled to meet your aqu- *Sees a dumbfounded Dr. Van Neuter and stumbles back in shock* This is not possible! Oh dear! Phillip? Just when I thought the stars were starting to form into something more wonderous! It turns out gravity kicked in and dragged me down to Earth! I am very displeased.


Beaker:

*Looks offended by Neuter's comment*
MEEP!

Dr. Van Neuter:

I demand a room change! I cannot bare to be in the same place with you! Gosh, out of all the roomates!

Bunsen:

I stand offended by the mere presence of you!

*The two argue continuously as they unpack*

Gosh, I'm sorry I took so long! I had a bit of trouble on the way but nothing big! *Looks surprised* Mr. Neu-u-uter? ANOTHER WACKO?

Bunsen:

I must object to the implication of me having been a wacko. I prefer to be labeled as a genius, thank you. Though, the name fits Phillip very nicely. Hmph!

Dr. Van Neuter:

Oh psshha!

Claudia:

Bunnie, be nice!
*Unpacking*

You heard her, you oversized pea-head!

Bruce: Who is that?

Grover: That is our grouchie.

Oscar: *from inside his trashcan* I heard that. *keeps walking*

Bruce: I hope i like it here.
