*Floats out with rest of team to practice before they have to get on the bus to leave where the game'll be played this week.

<Wanda is walking past the kitchen when an arm suddenly shoots out a snags her>

Wanda: Eeek!

Leyla: Shh! Shh!

Wanda: <breathing heavily> Leyla! You scared me!

Leyla: <secretively> Spss... listen...

Wanda: Are you going to try to sell me the letter 'H'?

Leyla: <dropping the secrecy> That's exactly what Hilda said to me too. Jimmy just asked if I could fix the leak in his tires. Robot Kermit asked me if I was trying to get him alone... oy...

Wanda: Isn't that Lisa's word?

Leyla: Sha!

Wanda: Isn't that Prawnie's word?

Leyla: Indubitably.

Wanda: Who's word is that?

Leyla: Sherlock Holmes's I suppose, and perhaps Sherlock Hemlock's... I don't know. I haven't visited the Street in awhile. Anyway it's vaguely British sounding and also long which reminds me of Beau.

Wanda: It does?

It: I do not! How dare you say such a thing!

<long pause as the anthropomorphic It bolts out of the room giggling.>

Leyla: Weird. It's a weird place, Muppet Central.

Wanda: You think? I've never noticed. Though that Eagle guy who's been following me around lately is always complaining...

Leyla: Wait... Sam? Sam the Eagle? He follows you around?

Wanda: <nods sulkily> Ever since Wayne and I called it quits, he's been asking me to reconsider, 'for the good of the nation'.

Leyla: <cautiously> Are you... thinking about it?

Wanda: <getting upset> No! Of course not! I don't even miss him or the way he was always there for me when our acts fell apart!

Leyla: Okay, okay. Easy now.

Now: Why thank you. I try to be helpful.

Wanda: Is it easy being Now?

Now: Not if you're green. <Now, who is, in fact green, begins to whimper and races off.>

Wanda: Hmm... I guess that was a little odd. Another Beau reference, Leyla?

Leyla: Yes, but I suppose that just about covers it for the MSN writers I know well.

Wanda: Well, I suppose you could reference Catherine.

Leyla: <shifts awkwardly> Well, I would but I would have to borrow Kermit and Piggy and well... I wouldn't want to put any ideas in Robot Kermit's head.

Wanda: <haughtily> Goodness knows he's got enough of them!

Leyla: Yeah... I didn't really expect him to be quite so...

Wanda: Annoying?

Leyla:... flirtatious. It's a surprising quality in a robot. I thought he'd be a little more like Kermit.

Wanda: <shrug> He was built to be a TV show host, so he's sort of a look at Kermit if the fame ever got to his head.

Leyla: Personally, I think he was built to irritate the actual Kermit. Maybe we can work on that a bit...

Wanda: Listen, I've got to get to my Jilted Girlfriends Anonymous meeting so if you could just tell me what you want...

Leyla: Oh! I nearly forgot! It turns out that it's Grover's birthday today! We have to throw him a big bash, especially since his roomate's away. I thought about it and I decided we could have it here.

Wanda: Another party? Great! So what should I do?

Leyla: Well, Hilda and Jimmy took Grover and Herry out to the park so we can surprise him when he gets back. I've been baking all morning so everything will be ready for everyone to arrive. Kermit is out spreading the word that the party will be here this afternoon. But we need to get a gift for the birthday monster. I was thinking he'd like a picture of his mommy in a frame. Would you mind-

Wanda: Oh, sure! I'll pick up the frame and picture after the meeting. Will you be alright here?

Leyla: Oh, sure... if I can cook for Piggy, and can cook for anyone! Um... don't mention I said that to her, will you?

Wanda: I won't. I like you in one piece.

Leyla: <laughs> Oh, good. That's nice to hear! Now... I've got a cake to ice!

*From the corner of the room... And hopefully a story to update... Just hasn't been the same around here without the stories we know and love not getting updated. Guess that thing others call "a life" is weighing everybody down.
Eh... LMK if there's anything I can do to help. *Waits at the furnace elevator to go back downstairs.

Rosita:I know,Gaffer....don't forget your food bowl,kitty treats,and toys.Plus your bed.
Gaffer looks confused at Rosita,Prairie Dawn and then me.
Gaffer...you'll be staying with Bryan,his roomies,Prairie and Rosita while I'm on my trip.Don't worry...I'll make sure that Bryan lets you play with Fatatita while I'm gone.It's OK kitty.scratching her head

Kim: Wrapping Grover's birthday present. I got him a DVD of Latin dance lessons; maybe he can spice up his repetoire at Charlie's a little. There. *finishes tying the ribbon* Betty Lou, you want to run this over to Layla's room? That's where Grover's staying for now.
Betty Lou: Sure thing, Kim! *takes the present and heads across the hall*
Boober: Aren't we going to the party tonight?
Kim: *shakes her head* Can't; Turkey Dinner is this evening, remember? And I've got to help sell carry-out tickets from 5:45 to 7:30.
Gillis: What about us?
Kim: You're coming with me. But no wandering around the church while I'm working, and especially no going into the kitchen
Betty Lou: *coming back* What about no going into the kitchen?
Tosh: We're going to the turkey dinner with Kim tonight.
Kim: And I don't want you guys going off by yourselves and getting into trouble while I'm working. If I have to, I'll lock you in the nursery until its time to eat.
Boober: When are we eating?
Kim: Same time as me; after I'm done selling tickets. Is that it for the questions?
*Roomies go into a huddle*
Gillis: Yes, that's it.

Me: I want to Cliff, but I'll be there in spirit tonight. Gonna stay here for Grover's party and try and catch up on some commentary.

Me: *shrug* I'll figure something out. Good luck Cliff! Bring home a win!
Clifford: Will do dude! Aight bus driver, move this bus! *bus pulls away*

Maybe Ryan'll have better luck with Uncle D posting commen-ta-ry.
Now then, what to get a globe-trotting monster for his birthday, any ideas Maurice? Maurice? Oh yeah, he left to go watch the game with the rest of the team.
Hmmm, maybe a spinning globe or 3D puzzle map, or something of the musical nature. Decisions, decisions.
Well, Layla will tell us when the party'll be starting. Now if only I knew how to continue my fictional creations.

Leyla: Okay! All ashore that's going ashore?

Hilda: Pardon?

Leyla: Everyone here? Good! Allright! Wanda? Would you run and get Grover, please? Quick now! Everyone hide! Lisa, don't you dare get into that closet! No one would believe you again, anyway, especially not with my ushy gushy campaign going on. Oh, and do keep and eye on Jimmy... he's decided you're my kid sister and well... the important thing to remember is none of my roomies can be trusted with a member of the opposite sex. Prawnie dear? Prawnie?

Hilda: He went off with Uncle Deadly to do commentary. I'm sure he'll be back soon!

Leyla: <eyeing Hilda> You're not hiding in the closet with him, young seamstress!

Hilda: <shifty eyed and visibly disappointed> Fine. But I should go and find him.

Leyla: Alright, and see if you can find Robot Kermit too will you? He's disappeared somewhere...
