<Leyla is humming cheerfully, zipping around the kitchen industriously>
<Hilda enters>
Hilda: Oh! Guess what I just heard! Toga passed her driver's test!
Leyla: Oh, that's wonderful! I knew she would!
Jimmy <who has been trying to get his fingers into the bowl for some time now>: How did you know?
Leyla: <frowning at him>: Well, I guess I didn't know for sure... but I had faith! It's a good thing, having faith in your friends... you should try it sometime. And get out of that batter or I'll smack you with this mixing spoon.
<she raises the spoon threateningly and Jimmy redirects his efforts into licking the icing off a car shaped cake>
Jimmy: Ooh, this looks good...
Leyla: Out of my kitchen, get! Get! <She shoos him out> Oy... he's such a handful. Hilda, come take a look at this cake I made for Lisa. Do you think she'll like it?
Hilda: Oh, of course! <peers closer> Is that-?
Leyla: <proudly> Yup! Fozzie's driving, Kermit's got his banjo, and look... I've even got a little sugar Robin peeking out from the glove compartment. It's a good thing I made it a convertible instead of a studebaker.
Hilda: Oh, it looks too good to eat!
Jimmy <outside the kitchen>: Speak for yerself, woman!
Leyla: Thanks. Listen... will you stand guard over this batter while I drop the cake off to Lisa? I'll leave you the spoon.
Hilda: Of course, dear, but what's the other batter for?
Leyla: Oh, I'm stirring up another cake for Ryan. He had a rough night last night and I wanted to cheer him a bit. I haven't decided how I'll decorate it yet. I'm thinking something sort of weird looking, in honour of his roommates, with "It's not easy being a teen" in green letters.
Hilda: I see. And...uh...will you being delivering that to him personally as well?
Leyla:<grins> Well now, I was thinking I'd be too busy doing the dishes. Maybe you wouldn't mind bringing it down to him?
Hilda: Well... well, if it would help you out, I guess I could do that... as a favour, of course.
Leyla: Of course! <shakes head> Boy, Kermit is contagious...
Hilda: Pardon?
Leyla <sweetly>: Oh, nothing... here, take the spoon, and don't be afraid to use it.
Hilda: <very sweetly> Oh, not at all.
Jimmy <anxiously>: Um... I'm... just gonna do a littly tidying up out here if you don't mind.
<Leyla and Hilda exchange amused glances>
