Got the invite for baba's party... We'll see if we can make it. If not, happy birthday.

Bry: Oh good. My suitcase arrived. Good thing, I was running out of clothes.
Telly: Hmm...that would be embarrassing.
Rosita: Hey, Bryan! We got an invitation to a birthday party for Baba later today.
Snuffy: A birthday party?
Big Bird: I love birthdays!
Snuffy: Me too!
Big Bird: Can we go?!
Bry: You guys are certainly okay to go, but I'm not so sure if I will be able to make it. I'll try and show up later if I can.
Telly: We should get him a present.
Bry: Here. (Hands Telly some money) You guys can go down to the store on the corner to get Baba a gift, but be careful.
Hoots: I'll keep an eye on 'em, Bry.
Bry: Thanks, Hoots!

Renee: *Is anxiously waiting by the phone* I wish they'd call me BACK!

Scooter: Just be patient. They'll call back eventually.

Jim: You told them you would call back again at 10 pm your time? That'd be...what, about 6pm their time?

Renee: Yeah....I just wish 10 pm came a little quicker....it'd be SO easy then....

Jerry: Have you guys heard, it's Baba's birthday today!

Renee: Oh, cool! *Sends Baba a cake for his birthday.*

Scooter: I hope he likes the cake.

Bill and I have watched the first tape of Muppets Tonight.

Martin: This is very good Bill. It's a shame this show was so short-lived.
Bill: Yes I was disappointed Martin. I so enjoyed being on the show. Except for that time I told you about when Carl ate me of course.
But I can laugh about it now. He really didn't mean anything nasty.

We both chuckle
Bill: He wasn't really a bad man Carl. He had a good sense of humour.
Martin: I can see that. I hope he didn't scare those animals too much when he swallowed them in that game show Swift Wits.
Bill: Some of them did get a bit of a fright. But when he took them out of his mouth offscreen we gave them some little consolation prize for being part of the running gag of nobody ever winning the show.
Martin: How did you get along with Bob who could make raisins come out of his ears?
Bill: He was a nice enough chap. I still get in touch with him from time to time. But he was unable to secure a regular place on the show. Everybody preferred my beautiful bubbles to his raisins.
Martin: I can understand why Bill. It's fun to watch bubbles floating through the air. But raisins would just fall on the floor. Unless you liked eating raisins you'd have no appeal for that act.
Bill: Actually Martin you wouldn't have wanted to eat Bob's raisins. They were coated in earwax.

We both have another laugh and then get ready to have something to eat.

Well... Even if we can't make it... Hope he likes the gift we sent, a nice fluffy bedspread with lots of Muppet faces on it.

Martin and Bill are just finishing a light snack of cheese sandwiches when I check the calendar.
Hey Bill. We were so engrossed in Muppets Tonight that we forgot it's Baba's birthday today.
Bill: Fancy that. We must go around and wish him happy birthday.
Martin: Yes we must.

We leave our room and knock on Baba's door

Martin: Thank you Baba
Bill: Yes thank you.
Martin: We would like to say something to you Baba

Then Martin sings Happy birthday to you while Bill blows bubbles in time to the melody

Bill: Thank you friends. That cake looks great.
Martin: Yummy. It's absolutely delicious.
Bill: And I love the punch.
Martin: I'm so glad we came.

 

[BEAR]

(Arriving at the party)

Snuffy: I hope we aren't too late.
All: Happy birthday!!!
Telly: Yeah! Happy birthday, Baba! Haha!!
Rosita: Feliz cumpleanos, Baba. (hugs him and gives him a kiss on the cheek)
Big Bird: I have some birdseed cookies here for you. I hope there's enough for everyone.
Snuffy: (sees a reaction from Cookie Monster and holds him back with his snuffle) Oh no you don't.
Hoots: (Laughs) Hehe! Hey, Telly-Man, why don't you give Baba his present.
Telly: Oh yeah! Here you go. It is the Songs from the Street CD set.
Hoots: It has a whole bunch of groovy hits from Sesame Street.
Big Bird: Do you like it?

*runs to Phil's door* Guys? We slept through his party. Ya'll were spoused to have woke me up. Oh I hope the poor guy didn't think we stood him up. *gets to Phil's door and knocks* Hello? Is anyone one home? *knocks some more* Oh he's proubley mad at me now. Oh what a terrible thing I've done to this poor kid. *sluks back to the room*

Grover: *starts crying*

Herry: We've damaged this kids party.

Cookie M: Me too up set to cry. *but starts to cry anyways*

All sluk back to our room and sluk for the rest of the night
