Hey... You guys awake? Guess the old maxim rings ever true: The sooner you go to sleep on Christmas Eve Day, the sooner it's Christmas.
Kathy will probably know where the quote's from, heh.
Twas the night before Christmas.
And all through the dorms.
Not a cloud was in sight.
Not even a light winter storm.
The stockings were hung.
By the furnaces with care.
In hopes that we'd still find them there.
The Fraggles were asleep in their beds.
While visions of sugar plums and goodies and cookies danced through Cookie Monster's head.
Everyone was nestled snug, not making a peep.
Except for Ernie who asked Bert: "Are you asleep?"
When out in the garden, there arose such a clatter.
Oscar raised his lid to see what was the matter.
I ran to the lobby, away I did dash.
Took off so quick, like a lightning flash.
When lo and behold, truly a treat.
A sleigh pulled by monsters from Sesame Street.
The drivers were so lively, so quick.
Knew in an instant it was the Two-Headed Monster playing Saint Nick.
The two were so jolly, so merry.
When they laughed, their tummy shook like a big bowl of jelly.
To work they started.
And as soon they departed.
Spreading the cheer.
To all gathered here.
The dormies soon awoke...
Thought it was one of Fozzie's jokes.
They saw this was a sight to behold.
Presents for them all, or so I was told.
A duckie for Ernie, bottlecaps for Bert.
And for Kyle a new T-shirt.
For Kathy a stress ball.
That surely won't hurt.
For Fozzie and Kevin, a stack of pies.
And hoping noone will see through their disguise.
Lisa the writer, and Ryan her pair.
A massive storybook to fill up, for both to share.Gerard and Rizzo surely are merry...
All they need is a big bowl of cherries.
Renee and Piggy, new to this place.
To them a portrait plastered with Kermit's face.
Diana the songbird, the band's prior.
A new songbook so they can join the choir.
But the best gift of all was the one given to me.
For I'm the guy who runs the dorms you see.
Yes, knowing my friends are here safe and sound.
Tis the best present I've found.
So, as the Count counted the stars in the night.
And after hearing him count with delight.
This last greeting just feels right.
Merry cChristmas to all, and to all a good night.
