Muppet College Dorms: The Next Semester

*Kelly and Cotterpin thanked Ed, Count, and Deadly for the nice meal and left for the common room*

Cotterpin: So, you got any plans tonight?

Kelly: Not really. *plants herself on the sofa and starts reading a book*

Cotterpin (staring up at her from the scooter): So ... you just plan on sitting here reading?

Kelly: Not unless something happens. That's pretty much my plan.

Cotterpin: Uh, yeah. I guess I'll go home and see what my parents are up to. *leaves*

 

[The Count]

*We thank Kelly in return as our meals were finished as well. *Door to Room #1 creaks shut, but in a softer kind of way. *Dreaming of long-ago fics and fun times had by all while typing away at the computer.

 

[Muppet Newsgirl]

(The gang is out for an evening stroll, all carrying ice cream cones from Cold Comfort.)

Storyteller: (peach and Doozer stick crunch) Such a nice night...looks like summer decided to come a little early this year.
Nora: (strawberry) 80 degrees in the shade this afternoon. I think today was the first time in months we've had to use the A/C.
Erin: (black raspberry) Yeah, time to pack the parkas away. And the clerk at Cold Comfort said that they ran out of half their flavors this afternoon.
Beige: (pistachio and chocolate-peanut butter) Yeah, nothing left of the triple fudge and the orange swirl but a few drips and drops. So, Scooter and I had to choose something else tonight.
Scooter: (pineapple-raspberry) I don't know, this pineapple one's pretty good - I think it's new on the menu this year. So where are we going now?
Erin: Well, let's take a swing through Casson Park - I hear they've got the paddleboats out.
Nora: And there's some kind of comedy festival going on tonight down in Nelson Square.
Beige: I want to see if that troupe of wombats is really going to scale the tower at city hall, like they keep saying they'll do.
Scooter: And I hear that Gags Beazley's written a sequel to his Banana Sketch...I think it involves ice cream and maraschino cherries this time.
Storyteller: And then let's all wrap it up with some stargazing, we can go back and get Scooter's telescope and...Erin, you're dripping.

(gang heads off, continuing in this manner for quite a while)

Sara: Oh wow. Had a crisis, but thank goodness that got averted.

Sadie: So you're back again. Good for you! =D

*Sara relaxs in her mushroom chair with her laptop, prusing ebay.*

Sara: I'm hoping to find an iPhone microphone soon, so I can replace my broken one.

Skeeter: Your old one's been broken for quite sometime....hasn't it?

Sara: Yeah, it has. Stupid thing. I sure do love my iPhone however. This thing has helped me and Robert plenty of times. The little GPS feature with Maps is wonderful!

Sadie: I wonder if Gonzo could use that to find his planet?

Sara: *strange expression for a moment* Planet? *starts to laugh a bit* No, no. It won't work with finding other planets. Just the Earth is all.

Skeeter: Oh that's too bad.

Sadie: Yes, it's quite a shame.

Sara: But it does help find the closest restaurant.

Sadie & Skeeter: Where are we going for dinner then?

Sara: *laughing without touching her iPhone* Hoopers of course!

*All three head out the door to head to Hoopers for a late-night dinner.*

Cotterpin (nods, on her scooter): Yep. She fell asleep again. Personally, I think she's just sleeping on the sofa to keep from making up her bed in the morning.

Spike (smiles to Cotterpin): Want some grub?

Cotterpin (aghast): EEEEEWWWWWW ...

Spike (shakes his head): Sorry. Slang. Do you want breakfast?

Cotterpin: Oh. Um. Yes?

Spike (nods): A'ight. *fixes breakfast in the common room*

Erin: Hey, Sara, long time no see. Someone want to tell Scooter that his family's back in the dorms?
Nora: So how's everything going, Sara? Erin tells me you're getting married in a few months.
Beige: What's all the hubbub, bub? (pauses) Oh, hello, hello. You know if we were in the Cave, to welcome people back we'd get a big pot of moss from the sulfur caverns, and...
Scooter: (entering) But we're not in the Cave, Beige. Hi, Mom, hi, Skeeter, how's it going...and Mom, I promise we'll do something nice for Mother's Day.

Kelly (still reading in the common room)

Spike (enters): So, uh, anyt'ing new?

Kelly (not looking up): Something about snakes.

Spike: How ta cook 'em?

Kelly (shakes head): I think the plan was mocking a gratuitous movie.

Spike (perks up): Dere's a gratuitous movie out dere an' I didn't see it?

Kelly: I saw it. It's sort of like watching a vile movie-length mini-game. I just can't decide whether the snakes or the humans were the playable characters.

Spike: So who won?

Kelly: Um ... I forgot, actually. The plane crashed, if I recall. And quite a few humans died from snakes that weren't really poisonous, so I guess they just died of shock or stupidity or something.

Spike (grinning): Sounds great!

Kelly: Pffbt. Males.

Spike (rolls eyes): Says da chick who watched it too....

Kelly (briefly smirks): Point taken.

Spike: So, doin' anyt'ing tonight?

Kelly: Did homework briefly, but I haven't been feeling well. I feel like my skin's on fire.

Spike: Go to da pool.

Kelly (shrugs): With my luck, I'd make it boil. Ever seen Firestarter?

Spike (whips out a card): Remember dis?

Kelly (looks up): Um ... no?

Spike: It was supposed ta go ta TG yesterday.

Kelly (suddenly pale): OH, --

Spike (hurriedly covering her mouth): Uh, yeah. *shows her the card. it's blank* I did you da favor o' slippin' under they're door jus' before midnight. I jus' wanted ta mess wit' ya. *shrugs* I don't t'ink dey saw it, though. I was all about da stealth.

Kelly (shakes head): Yep, you're a regular ninja. Your skills ASTOUND me.

Kelly (closing book): So, Spike, I'm going to bed.

Spike: Do I get to sleep too, dis time? In a bed?

Kelly (smirks): I suppose so. I thought you HATED being confined to a room.

Spike: I also don't like locked doors.

Kelly (grins): Well, now you're being unreasonable. C'mon, let's go to bed. *Kelly and Spike slowly head to room 2*
