Well guys. Another year passing and another one coming and nothing to do and this is so boring.

Herry: We're boring?

No no no. I mean every year i don't ever do anything for new years. I either watch the neices or go over to my friends. And i don't have anything to do.

Murray: Your going to your freinds.

Yep. Ya'll wanna come?

Bruce: Can we?

Sure. Now you do know that you'll have to sleep somewhere i do not know.

Herry: Welllllll.....

I know. If ya'll don't want to ya'll don't have too.

Bruce: We really wouldn't mind going with you but....

But what?

Herry: We would rather stay here.

I see. I understand. I guess. We'll guys. I'll call you and wish ya'll a Happy New Year. *gathers up things and starts to leave but* I can't leave you all here. Your all going no matter what. Get you stuff and you are all coming with me.

Herry: Ok.

Murray: Can't argue with that.

Bruce: Me either.

We all head out the door with our stuff and leave to Walmart to get Grover on the way.

Erin: There we go.
Scooter: So who gets to go next?
Erin: That would be you, gofer boy. You get to narrate the theft.
Scooter: Oh, boy!
Nora: Why don't you take a break? It's New Year's Eve, after all.
Beige: Yeah, but I don't feel like watching the Times Square chaos...
Storyteller: Well, let's just make popcorn and put on a movie, how's that?
Nora: I like it.

Yeah... Especially since this year will be more chaotic as they have to solve the mystery of who broke the Times Square New Year's Eve Ball. Now that'd be a fanfic to read.

Oh well...

*A grim greeting card with scythe in hand stretches out from inside his bookjacket home, stalking the new mystery that Erin has promptly promised and perfectly progressed through to three chapters in search of more pages.

Catherine: (touching her lips) Well, that was a pretty satisfying New Year's. I haven't used my pucker so much since (eyes Fozzie), um, since, er, last year.
Piggy: (sighing and rolling her eyes) Amateur.
Kermit: Piggy! (rubbing his neck gingerly) I think you sprained my neck.
Piggy: (muttering) You should be so lucky.
Fozzie: Well, I think the group hug and kiss was a great way to spend New Year's.
Catherine: Yeah.
Kermit: Me, too.
Piggy: It was rather nice. (Eyes Kermit.) Want to do it again?
Kermit: Um, er....
Catherine: (hastily) Um, how about punch? Anybody want punch?
Fozzie: That sounds wonderful!
Piggy: Kermie...?
Kermit: Um, back in a minute in with some punch for us....

Kim: Well, here it is...2008.
Fraggles: Yup.
Kim: I dunno about you, but I'm not impressed yet.
Mimzy: Give it a chance; after all, the new year's only thirty-six minutes old.
Tosh: Yeah. Nothing catastrophic is gonna happen in thirty-six minutes.
Boober: It could though, hypothetically.
Gillis: Let's leave the hypotheticals alone for right now, hm? Anyone have any ideas on how to start the new year?
Kim: I've got one.
Fraggles: Oh?
Kim: Yeah. Why don't we all go to bed?
Fraggles: "Sure"..."Good idea"..."Why not?"

Over at the Friends.......

Murray: Thank you Mrs. W for letting us stay over with Kyle.

Mrs. W: Oh you are very welcome.

Thanks again for letting them stay with me.

Grover: I was wondering where you were talking about Bruce.

Bruce: I said over at Kyle's friends.

Grover: I thought you meant with Bryan, Beth or the others. Thanks agains.

Herry: *sawing some logs*

He sure was sleep after that game we played.

Murray: Yea but he took where i was going to sleep.

Mr. W: We have other places. Don't worry. Me and the miss are going to head on to bed. Good night guys.

Monsters and Me: Good night.

I'm going to watch some tv.

Murray: I guess i'll watch with you.

Bruce: I'm going to head to sleep too. *yawns*

Good night Bruce.

Murray: Good night Bruce.

Grover: Good night Bruce.

Bruce: Good night guys.

Herry: *snores really loud*

So Murray, Grover and Kyle watch some TV and all fall asleep watching some cartoons until morning

*Downstairs...
Count: Ah-ha! Happy 2008! *Blows a batty little noisemaker.
UD: Sad really... Another year has died... But one more year has sprung to life, crawling ever closer towards its own grave.
Me: C'mon guys... It's a new year, full of promise and whatever the future may hold. I know this much... It holds tradition for today. Gonna call Ryan to see if Camilla and the other chickens can lend us some egg-laying prowess....
Count and UD: You mean?
Me: Yep... It's time for my family's traditional omelette-thon on today, the 1st of the year!

Activity flourishes in the downstairs common room's kitchen as ingredients are prepped, skillets are greased, and lists tacked up on the bulletin board.

Me: OK... To all dormies... Step fright up and place your omelette orders. You can have any combination of ingredients. Just take a number and we'll have your morning meal to you in a jiffy. Please help yourselves to some juice and any of the fine French bread for toasting or dessert breads for noshing.

And as always... Happy New Year, 2008's here to stay!

Beige: Just a few crushed mustard-flavored Doozer Sticks.
Storyteller: I'll have...green onions, peppers, garlic, bits of tomato, some radishes...
Scooter: Better throw in a few antacid tablets as well.
Storyteller: Oh, very funny, Scooter.
Nora: I'll go get juice...what kind does everyone want?
Erin: Cranberry.
Scooter: Orange.
Beige: Apple.
Storyteller: Tomato.
