looking at the ornaments on the dorm tree
It looks so beautiful!
Prairie:It sure does. I love Christmas!
Rosita:So do I! And the tree smells wonderful.
Yeah...it does. Some people get live trees from a forest. But that leaves pine needles and pine sap on the floor. So in my opinion fake trees are better.
Rosita: Did you ever have a live Christmas tree,Kathy?
No.The trees we had were fake. But we sprayed this stuff on it to make it smell like an actual pine tree. snicker One time when I was a kid,I sprayed the stuff in the house and it wasn't even Christmas yet!
Prairie:What month was it?
October,I think.:embarrassed:
Prairie:Oh Kathy! Talk about rushing things!
I know...I know... Hey...like I said,I was only a kid! My mom was mad though. Can't say I blame her.
(OOC:the thing about the tree actually was true!)

Storyteller: Erin, Nora, you two look exhausted.
Erin: We feel exhausted. Next question?
Storyteller: Come on, it's Christmas. Where's your excitement?
Nora: I don't know, Storyteller...personally I always get a little sad over the holidays.
Erin: It's the stress and all that, you know?
Scooter: I know - my aunt says that the holidays are never completely picture-perfect, but the commercials insist on making them so.
Beige: I hear you - down in the Cave, my aunt makes a rockweed-mushroom soup that is boiled into oblivion - and she makes us eat it during the big winter feast.
Nora: Blurgh...there goes my appetite.
Storyteller: Now, then - has everyone selected an ornament for the dorm tree?
Erin: I have - (holds ornament up) it's an inkpot with a quill in it.
Scooter: Here's mine - it's a miniature stage door.
Nora: I've got a bookworm - it's a bright green worm with glasses, reading "Tale of Two Cities."
Beige: I've just got a piece of moss agate from the Cave - but it catches the light all right.
Storyteller: And I have the Solemn Mark of the Fraggle...very nice. Shall we?

(group goes off to hang ornaments on tree, and to then search for mugs of peppermint-flavored hot chocolate as well)

*At the same time...
UD, after the carolling, trudgin through the snow: Ah, my phantomly little footsies are soooo cold.
Count: Aren't they alvays cold? You being dead and all...
UD: Normally, or paranormally, yes. But the icyness of the outside snow on my half-ghostly gliders. Well, it's cold enough out there...
All: To freeze your Winnebago!

Me: Did I hear someone say something about pepermint hot chocolate? Ooh, I happen to have a recipe from last year for that. Call it "White Winter" or "White Christmas Chocolate."
*Grabs up a pound of peppermint candies and chocolate and milk and sets to making a big pot for all the roomies.

(sometime later, in room 7)

(a huge pot of peppermint-scented hot chocolate is steaming on the stove)

Nora: Oh, wow, this is good.
Scooter: Try it with candy canes in it - really amps up the flavor. (slurps up some more) My aunt used to make it with some chocolate-covered caramels thrown in.
Erin: You know, there's an Italian-style bakery near my grandmother's place that sells really knockout hot chocolate. And the chocolate is imported straight from Italy - the owner says it costs a bit, but it's worth it. It's liquid gold.
Beige: But wouldn't the chocolate be more edible than gold? I mean, all those trace elements wouldn't do well in your stomach...
Storyteller: Oh, it's just a saying, Beige. Will someone pass the candy canes, please?

*Yawns as Ed goes off to R.I.P. in our tomb with an underground view. Hmmm, Wonder if Erin and Steve talked to each other. Oh well, tomorrow's another party that'll take up more or less the entire afternoon. Just hope I can get back in time for the new Sesame Christmas special.
*Throws blanket over his torpid corpsid and falls dead asleep.

As the dorms fall fast asleep a rough voice is hear, "Tonight's Dorms were brought to you by the letter "Y" as in yucky presents. And by the number "12." Muppet Dorms is a prouduction of the "Muppet Central Forms." Rotten dreams everyone. And no sugar plums either." The slam of a trashlid is heard from the hallway of the second floor.

As I'm baking, Prairie & Rosita come in,almost slamming the door
Yikes! Please don't slam the door!
Prairie:Oh...sorry.What're you baking?
Rosita:Whatever it is,it sure smells good!
whispering...Cookies They're called meringues.
Prairie:Like lemon meringue pie?
Well...the things that I'm making are made from a couple of the same ingredients. But with these, there's unsweetened cocoa & chocolate chips. So they're chocolate meringues. There's egg whites in there too. So iif there's any loud noises the meringues will flatten instead of looking puffy. That's why I said not to slam the door. Not that you're supposed to anyway. Was there something you wanted me to see?
Rosita:Well...we were going to ask you if you wanted to go sleigh riding with us.
Oh Rosita...you know I'd love to.But I'm busy making these coo... um... things.Later,OK?
Rosita:Okay.
I'll make hot chocolate with marshmallows for you two.Plus I'll put a candy cane in them.
Prairie:Sounds good.See ya later Kath.OK RositaLet's go outside again!
the girls go outside as I smile to myself, turn on Christmas music and continue baking

Murray: *comes running in* Come quick!

Murray: Herry and Bruce are on top of the dorms roof.

What for? *runs outside* *yelling* What in the world are you two doing?

Herry: *yelling and looking through is telescope* We wanted to look for Santa.

Bruce: *yelling* Yea. He's been spotted flying around Hensonville.

Grover: *yelling* Where did you two hear that?

Herry: *yelling* The radio. *keeps looking through his telescope*

Bruce: *yelling* And the TV.

Murray: Hmmmmm.....maybe i should go up there and help them. *starts heading that way*

*grabs Murray by the arm* No. You are not going up there. *yelling to Herry and Bruce* Get down from there. That's a job for a weirdo.

Grover: I can go get you Gonzo.

No! I was being sarcastic. Get down now!
