Erin: (on phone) No kidding...I see...all right, I'll marshal the troops. (hangs up) Guys, Alex has turned into a werewolf...
Nora: Oh, no, not again...
Scooter: You mean this has happened before?
Erin: And Kyle's a zombie.
Storyteller: Okay, there's something new.
Beige: What do we do?
Erin: Right. Storyteller, go into my room and clip off some large sprigs from the wolfsbane plant on my dresser. Nora, go get your battery-powered desk lamp. Beige, Scooter, go through and find everything silver that we've got.
Storyteller: What are we doing about Kyle?
Erin: I've got a set of obsidian scarabs. According to King's Quest IV, they do an excellent job repelling zombies.

Erin: All right, we're heading out. And Scooter, since you're still in so-so health, stay close. If you start feeling dizzy, run straight back here immediately.

(Group heads out. Each is carrying: one sprig of wolfsbane, one obsidian scarab, and one silver cake cutter or set of tongs or serving platter. In addition: Erin carries a flask of extra-strong chamomile tea, Nora carries a sun lamp, Storyteller carries a book of boring stories, Beige has his favorite portable boulder and Scooter carries the yoyo that Ernie gave him.)
