(Kermit steps outside the door of room 20 and retrieves the mail. He is immediately ambushed, mugged for the day's mail and left sitting on the floor by a pig blur and a red-headed one.)
Kermit: Wha....?
Piggy: Something for you!
Catherine: (squealing) Did it come? Did it come?
Piggy: Open it! Open it NOW!
(Catherine tears open the package and squeals.)
Catherine: They're here! They're here! Oh--look, Piggy--it's you! And Kermit! Oh! Oh--you look so beautiful! Wow--and look at Kermit.
Kermit: Forget "look at Kermit." How about "help Kermit." The frog is down! I repeat, the frog is down!
(Catherine and Piggy rush to assist. Catherine hauls him up and Piggy dusts him off--perhaps with a little more attention to detail that is strictly necessary. Kermit blushes and stammers just a little.)
Kermit: Thank you, that's--oh, yes. Thank you, um, yes. I think I'm, um, good now. Yes.
Catherine: Sorry! I just got excited! Look what I bought with birthday money! Look! Look!
Kermit: Oh wow. These look...wow. I'd forgotten about these. (He smiles at Piggy.) Do you remember posing for these?
Piggy: (serenely) I remember posing for ALL of our dolls and decorations.
Kermit: Where did you get these?
Catherine: Internet. Oh--oh! Well, they were from my family. With birthday money.
Piggy: What are you going to do with them?
Catherine: Um, display them where I can look at them. Just think, I can put them where I can see them and look at the two of you together any time.
(THere is a thoughtful silence and Kermit and Piggy look at each other quickly. Piggy is quicker on the uptake.)
Piggy: Um, where did you get that handsome model of Kermit?
Catherine: (Absently) The internet.
Piggy: Is the, um, address where you ordered these saved anywhere on the computer?
Catherine: What? Oh--oh, yes. Probably.
(Kermit is sidling for the computer table. Piggy takes a step forward and he makes a break for it. They race each other to the computer.)
(Catherine looks up and finds herself alone.)
Catherine: Huh. Wonder where they went?
(She takes her new models happily back to her room.)

(pajama and robe-clad group settled in on sofa)

Storyteller: Good first day, everyone?
MN: Nearly fell asleep during history class.
Nora: (sigh) I wish I could have done that.
Storyteller: Why, what's wrong?
Nora: I haven't been sleeping well lately.
MN: Is something wrong with Mrs. Farley again?
Nora: No, she's doing better. I just can't sleep.
Storyteller: Hmm, hmm...well, I don't recommend sleeping pills, those are dangerous...what about some aromatherapy candles?
MN: Wouldn't recommend it; could be a fire hazard...what exactly is keeping you awake? Overactive brain? Lumps in the pillow?
Nora: I think it's just an overactive brain.
MN: I have the same problem. I drink a mug of chamomile tea each night before turning in, and it seems to work.
Nora: Isn't that what Peter Rabbit's mother gave him?
MN: That's the stuff. I'll brew you a mug and we'll see if it works.
Storyteller: Yeah, and try sprinkling a little bit of powdered snoozegrass in it. Works like a charm for me, and it's perfectly safe.

Hee... Do I hear a chorus of Somebody's Getting Married from up above on the second floor?
Just hope she found some place cheaper than ToyWhiz. They charge three times the accepted price for that ubber-exclusive, if it's the one I'm thinking of. Then again... Hope she's been keeping tabs with the discussion about the ones recently released by Brass Key, not worth shelling out the clams for those based on the reviews.

Oh well... Off to dreamland.

Beth: Hey Big Bird, did I remember to show you the postcard that came from Bryan over the weekend?
Big Bird: You sure did! I was so happy to hear from him!
Beth: Me too, I'm glad he's having a good time
Big Bird: I was wondering, is there anyway I can write to him?
Beth: Well, he's traveling through different cities and not staying real long at each one so it makes it kind of hard
Big Bird: Oh
Beth: But, you know what you could do? You could write Bryan a whole bunch of letters telling him what you're up to and he can read them when he gets back. Kind of like a diary. Then you won't forget to tell him anything
Big Bird: That's a great idea! Thanks Beth
Beth: Anytime. Now, I wonder where the rest of my roomies have gone off to

Yes... Or you can write a bunch of letters, letters with a message for Bryan (not just single letters, small SS joke)... And leave them in his Postcards mailbox. Methinks Bernice's delivering those to him at regular intervals, though you should check with Bert in Prawny's room to make sure.

Have you checked the pool Beth? *Off to PM box to ask questions to my trusted fictional peers.

Uncle Deadly: Ryan my fiend, why aren't you writing?
Ryan: Sheesh, Uncle D., I just finished Trip! Can't a Prawn get a break?
Uncle Deadly: Not likely, no.
Ryan: *mutters* Where's Bert?
Uncle Deadly: He and Ernie went to send Bernice off with a postcard for Bryan.
Ryan: Oh, that's geat! Well, I guess I have some writing to do. Eh, Uncle D.?
Uncle Deadly: Indeed you do. Now get on it, boy!

Just finished dinner, a big bowl of yummy cold cole slaw. Only two places I know I can get some good cole slaw is KFC and from my mom, this recent batch was supplied by the latter. Also had some pieces of fried popcorn chick... Er, um, whity meat. That toaster oven's sure getting some good usage.

Oh, Beth, if you get home... Could you please send me copies of all four of Rowlf's stories with all the errors fixed up please? Thanks.

Dorms Announcement.

*Creepy organ music plays, to the tune of "You've Got A Friend".

Hello from the dorms management team. Perhaps you've noticed the chirping of birdies in the air lately, or the bloom of new flowers on the buds of the trees around town. Spring is almost here, and so is a great event.
Old news to RHLC members... William (ilikemuppets) and Caroline (Skye) have been engaged for the last month, announcing their plans to get married after meeting and becoming a couple thanks to the power of MC. As Erin has often commented, love comes to Koozbane. And now, apparently, MC as well.

We don't know when the wedding will be, but that's what this message is for. It was suggested and I put it to a vote, as to whether you think the dorms should host their reception party commemorating the momentousness of Will and Caroline's pending nuptials.
Please send in your vote as to either "Yaey" or "Nay" either via PM or forum E-mailer should the PM box get filled up. Hexpect to hear from each and every resident before making a fully informed decision and report it to the lovebirds themselves. If you want to know who's doing what as part of the wedding preparations, visit the "Attention!" thread in the Friends & Family section of the forum.

Thanks for this brief intrusion and hope to hear from you guys and gals soon.

Piggy: (wild with curiosity) What is she humming and singing about?
Kermit: (frowning) I--I'm not sure. She said something about The Disney Store....
Piggy: (turning abruptly to Fozzie) You ask her!
Fozzie: Me? I don't...I don't want to. She looks, um, preoccupied. And happy. Can't we just wait?
(Kermit and Piggy stare at him blankly.)
Piggy: What are you talking about?
Kermit: Yeah--what do you mean, Fozzie?
(Fozzie looks at them in surprise.)
Fozzie: You mean, you mean you don't know?
Kermit: Know what?
Piggy: Spit it out, furball!
Fozzie: (patiently, enjoying his role as expert) When Catherine goes around the house humming to herself, she's planning something.
Kermit: Like--like dinner?
Fozzie: No, Kermit. Not like that. I mean--I can't believe you haven't noticed. She does this when she's, um,--"
Piggy: Plotting something.
Fozzie: No! I mean, um, well, maybe. But it's usually good.
(They all look at one another.)
Fozzie: (helpfully) She said something about birthday money.
Kermit: (looking reassured) Oh, well. I guess we'll just have to wait.
Catherine: (from across the room) Yes--you will. But it will be a good surprise!
Fozzie: How does she do that?
Kermit: Yeesh!
Piggy: (huffily) You might at least have told Moi.
Catherine: (humming) Tomorrow--you'll see tomorrow....
