Hey BJ.

He's never been portrayed as human. He's always been a little mule since I first drew him in 1980 (I think there's a history about him here somewhere).

Anyhow, we discuss Muley in third person here in Memphis because he has earned that capacity locally, and it carries over to other conversations we have, even with people who (somehow) don't know who he is.

If you visit www.picturetrail.com/muleythemule you'll see him in all his incarnations: cartoon, puppet, and mascot suit.

Sometime this spring look for www.muleyworld.com to open up.

Thanks, Kev. Didn't know it. The third person came up and I thought he was a human...Shows you just how much I know...

Well, that we could somehow convince the persona-Muley as a living "person", I, as a creator, have done my job.

BTW: A local film group here in town is having a contest for videos using the implosion of the old hospital which is featured in the SuperMule movie. I'm submitting that this afternoon to them. I'll let everyone know how that goes.

UPDATE:

SuperMule lost the video competition, but one of the photos we took while doing that video shoot has been turned into the following artwork (obviously by me) for our trip to Metropolis, IL, for the Superman Celebration--which, if you're near there come out and visit (I'll be in the Community Center as a guest artist) between June 8 - 11.
