Oooh yeah. In 1960 was the orignal with a brief appearance by Jack Nicholson. But in 1986 was the enormously fun remake with the plant Audrey 2 (voiced by Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops) and Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin. Directed by our beloved Frank Oz! I love this movie and the soundtrack is INCREDIBLE. Song after song of greatness. My quote above was from "Mean green mother from outer space."
Maybe this version is the one you have seen, Bear, and maybe didn't realize it was a remake of a 1960 movie? Cuz I think more people are familiar with the '86 movie than the '60 one.
