I used to be a big pusher for a MC Photo Gallery, but I began to think about the fact that we have lots of visitors pop in for a little while, and then disappear. Then I thought about the fact that, well, mostly everyone has their own website; if not, they could set up a free photo gallery of their own somewhere like www.picturetrail.com, which is who I use for Muley.

If anything, I'd say a MC Family Album for those who have been around a long time and are in Senior Member status (which also would give folks more reason to stick around). Otherwise, you end up with a gallery full of folks that you don't know who they are anymore.

I understand what you are saying, but most people leave because this is a hard group to break into. If you aren't shut out here, you become part of the "moron majority" as described at Tough Pigs.

I always felt like an outsider...eventually, I just lost interest in the Forum.

(Still love the Muppets, though)

I can't tell whether this is a yes or a no lol.

Yes if one is a Senior Member? 1/2 a yes vote, j/k.

17 (I think) YES 0 NO

Fozzie, please return and correct it to NO if you'd rather have it no. Thanx.

OW. OW. I'm sorry you've left MC. This is also the first time in my life I've been called a moron. And by people who apparently mean it. A cloud over my day.

Some of the motivations for a photo gallery are:

Some members don't have their own websites.

Some, myself included here, are tired of constantly having to point out what gender we are, a small irritant in life, granted, but an irritant nonetheless.

Some don't have the time, or the patience, to dig out each person's website from the threads to visit in order to see what someone looks like.

When time is taken to see someone's site, it frequently is down, inaccessible, forbidden, being repaired/updated, frozen, etc.

Some don't care, but some are interested in seeing what the friends (or foes) they've made here look like.

It's been suggested in this thread that a consolidation of the sites be created, I'm not high tech but might it be a list sort of page of everyone's sites from which you would then go? This sounds good. Yet still, a photo gallery page in addition to that would be a friendly and clarifying thing, and would not exclude those without websites.

Thank you for all of your votes and suggestions, and keep 'em comin'.

Signed,

A Member of The Moron Majority. I never knew I was a moron, and I've never been a member of a majority before. It's weirdness personified. Ah well. The things one learns.

Have to get used to this . . .

*takes immediate delivery of jacket with MORON printed on back . . .* lol.

At the very least, Phil could put a male/ female question in the public profiles.

And "moron" is my dad's pet name for our entire family.
