(The gang is listening in, drinking hot chocolate and playing - what else? - Go Fish.)

Erin: Oh, the fish-slapping dance...I heard of a man who got a really nasty knock from an Alaska salmon.
Scooter: Yeah...and give Lefty a few seconds and he'll be trying to cut down a tree with a herring.
Beige: Hey, Storyteller, do you know where fish sit when they go to the theater?
Storyteller: Hmm...I'm honestly not sure. Where?
Beige: Oh, they perch in the second roe. (gets a series of withering looks from the others) Come on, that joke was funny!
Storyteller: Emphasis on was. And with all this fish talk, I'm amazed that I haven't seen Lew Zealand hanging around here.
Nora: I think he and his fish are down at that double feature screening of "Jaws" and "Attack of the Killer Fish."

Me (sitting with a laptop she just sorta had at Everybody Eats): Hmmmm ... what to write, what to write.

Rizzo (drinking some coffee): Ain't you done wit' da brochures yet?

Me (shakes head): No. Some districts have a lot of places, so I'll have to think about it some more. At least I managed to snap pics of Teeth, Digit, Animal, Janice, Flash, and Johnny around Hensonville. That'll help. I do wanna finish up my Pokemon fic and work on a Dinosaurs "movie" of sorts.

Rizzo: What about dat t'ing about da Lab'rinth? You gonna finish dat up?

Me: It'll take too long and didn't seem to be worth it. *shudders* I don't wanna think about that place right now anyway.

Rizzo: Ain't enthused wit' da Goblin's goblin?

Me (glares at Rizzo): Seriously?

Rizzo (shrugs): 'Ey, dat's what da internet said.

Me (facepalms): Uh, yeah ... no. Jareth's the LAST thing I want to think about. Crawling out of an oubliette will do that to you.

Rizzo: So dat's why you looked so messed up at da amusement park?

Me (somberly): I don't know how I got there. I only know I was ... there. I had to claw my way through sixteen feet of tightly packed dirt.

Rizzo: -_- I t'ought dat was dat elderly dino chick wit' da wheels.

Me (laughs): Oh, right.

For what it's worth, I liked your RTL game thing. But I pretty much sink my teeth into most fanfics I read.
*Devilish grin showing erm, yeah, teeth.
Count: I taught him that one. :batty: proud vampire.

*Tuning in to see Iron Chef Garzas's first official battle, trying to choose colors for the goblin girl's clothes.

Me: Hmmm -- well, I'll think about it. I wanna get that Pokemon fic done with first. I don't want it to be just the comic. I wanna tweak it so it'll be more "me" than "Jake".

*Rubbing sleep out of eyes, still with that zombieish feeling of wanting to go back to bed... Thanks Zoot. *Takes a muffin with glass of milk, shuffles out. *Goes to other threads on routine patrol.

*Makes note not to cross Kelly, she could summon the Unown and well, things get pretty dark after that, but it's always a good read.

Me (smiles and bats eyes): Some say I have a dark streak. However, I found so much more power when I realized light is both creative and destructive. Darkness is the goal of fools.

Rizzo: Do you always write yerself in yer fics?

Me (shrugs): How else can I write them? I'm lucky to be attracted to characters with family issues and love issues. It's why I ... *laughs* can sympathize so much with that Queen of Moraine.

Rizzo: O_O But you said you didn't like her!

Me: I don't sympathize 100%. There's a difference. No one can stay the hand of destiny, but I have to admire those willing to try.

Oscar (peeking out of his trash can at the Docks): Why are we here again? Why can't I be in a nice, damp, musty, moldy, filth-ridden sinkhole?

Me (surveying the area): Because Chamberlain fills up his whole closet. Anyway, I wanted to get your impression of the Docks. I think it needs cleaning up before everyone starts filtering back into their routine here.

Oscar: D'ya really have ta ask? Of COURSE I'm gonna say it isn't filthy ENOUGH!

Me (raises index finger): Ah, but I think you'll like this. *inhales deeply and stretches out arms, while a huge wave from the lake stretches high over the warehouses and shoreline and docks and crashes down, washing the entire area to a squeaky-clean shine)

Oscar (acts all disgusted with all the cleanliness): How can it get any worse? *looks at fur on arms -- it's orange) AWWWWWW NO! *slams lid down hard*

Me (laughs): But, Oscar -- you'll mildew in a few days anyway. So will the docks ... it'll be covered in slime soon. You'll be right at home. *whistles as she carts him off to the mall*
