Pearl (to Lindbergh): Well, honeybunch ... I'm a fifty-year-old country singer. Now, back in the day ... WAAAAAY back in the day, I was one of the first if not THE first country singer. I dropped out of high school to go after mah dream of fame an' glory. Now, I got a twin brother, Earl, who resented me for years, since I left 'round the time Mama got sick. He only forgave me decades later. I've had a hard time figurin' out just who I'm supposed to be with. I'm also hopin' to open a saloon 'round these parts.

Pearl (sighs happily): So versatile ... I like that in a male.

Kelly (leans against a tree to read under a flashlight)

Cotterpin: I'm sorry I didn't get my song to you, Waldo. Kelly was gonna help me type it up, but she was ... kinda distracted today.

Kelly (sighs heavily and gets up): Well, it's been fun, you guys, but I think I'm gonna go to bed.

 

[The Count]

*Arriving late... Huh? Wha happa to ma Hawaiian pizza? *Shrugs, makes note to order another one tomorrow.

*Sighs... Yeah, Count and Deadly have girlfriends of their own, but me... *Scuffs toe a little. If only KG got some more updates. Oh well... *Anxious look, waiting for someones to love.

Pearl (yawns as she wakes up, to Cotterpin): Hey, where's Kelly?

Cotterpin (nervously): Um ... well ... she walked off for a bit.

Pearl: Needed to get some breakfast, huh?

Cotterpin: Um ... no ... after last night ... it entered her head that Digit's been avoiding her. *twiddles her thumbs* I suggested that maybe he was busy picking up that Vicki woman...

Pearl: Oh.

Cotterpin (nods): Yeah. And when Spamela said that all musicians were players ... Kelly began to think that Digit is really in love with someone else and just never told her, just stringing her along instead of being honest.

Pearl: Why not just talk to Digit and settle the score?

Cotterpin (shrugs): That's just it -- he's almost never around. It kinda confirms to her that he's avoiding her.

Pearl: Ouch.

Cotterpin: Her heart's broken. There's no telling where she'd go. The last time she was that depressed, Spike took her to some forest where there were these weird fire elementals who liked to pull themselves apart. She could be anywhere in town ... or she could be hiding in the Labyrinth or in Fraggle Rock or something. *sighs* But she'll be back. She always comes back, when she feels better. Until then ... it's up to us.

Alex: *dressed as Sherlock Holmes - trenchcoat, hat, pipe, and all. She carries a magnifying glass and is carefully inspecting everything and everyone*

Link: *wearing a black suit and monacle* I say, Holmes, whatever are we searching for?

Alex: It's quite simple, my dear Watson. I am searching for my inspiration, and you are helping me look for it.

Link: Inspiration?

Alex: Yes. I seem to have misplaced it and am since unable to get any real work done. No matter! I know it's here somewhere!

Link: How do you plan on finding it?

Alex: Persistence, Watson! Persistence!

Link: Very well then, Holmes! Persist, we shall!

*the two continue their investigation*

Lindbergh: Hey Cait, where's Digit?

Cait: Thought he was with you...

Lindbergh: Darn it! He must've gone back to the hotel...

Cait: I thought they kicked us out...

Lindbergh: No, Digit rented a room for himself a few days ago...

Cait: And you think he's there?

Lindbergh: I know he's there... He's locked himself up in there for days now, for no apparent reason...

Cait: Oh my goodness. Do you think that there's something wrong with him?

Lindbergh: Must be. He won't even talk to me about it. I think it's bad.

Cait: O_O Oh my gosh... we have to do something about this.
