(Down at Rising Dim Sum, dinner has been completed and the gang has moved on to dessert.)

Erin: (spooning up some green tea ice cream) I've been hearing rumors that Kate, Gobo and Wembley are back in the dorms.
Storyteller: (sipping tea) Oh, isn't that nice...I'll have to show Gobo what I'm working on, a compilation of Matt's greatest adventures...
Beige: (also eating green tea ice cream) More like Matt's biggest blunders...hey, Scooter, what does your fortune say?
Scooter: (snapping cookie open) Let's see...'Be ready - fireworks and fanfare will be coming your way.' (looks up) Am I going to be awarded something?
Nora: (chewing on pineapple) It's either that, or Crazy Harry's going to set something off in the dorms tonight. Pass the tea, please.

Kelly (comes in after a mile walk): I did it myself! Yay me!

Cotterpin (looks up from her paper): Huh?

Chamberlain: I don't really think I want to know what she did herself. >_>

Kelly (rolls eyes, grins): I walked the dogs by myself!

Spamela: Um ... yay?

Kelly (nods): It's a MAJOR achievement. 'Sides, I had to do SOMETHING. Bear was destroying everything in sight.

Zoot (sighs): I don't have to clean it up, do I?

Chamberlain: MMMMMmmmm ... was the mess ... unpleasant?

Kelly: Nah, Zoot ... I got it covered. That's why I took them for a walk ... to tucker them out. *to Chamberlain* Oh, yeah, it was a total disaster.

Chamberlain (nods): I might like to have some puppies some day, then, if they're really that vile and destructive. *grins*

Kelly: Um, yeah, be sure an' tell Ailie that when she gets back, LOL.

*Wonders why it's been so quiet in here lately.

*Loves newest Disney pins received just today. Gotta wait a few weeks into August to get the matching Ariel and Maleficent, and maybe Kermit with his locker.

*Sets off to work on some haunters. Happy holiday weekend to everybody!

Kelly: Oh, hi, Ed. To be honest, I've been dealing with my puppies when I'm not writing articles. That, and I had rented X-Men Origins: Wolverine and it was due this weekend, so I had to use up most of my day's hours playing it. *laughs* I bet articles are tying up most people's time.

Yep. Either that or this thing called "summer vacations".
Maybe we'll meet up at the pool later today or tomorrow. *Grim grin.

Kelly (nods): Maybe next semester will be different. I already have some ideas about who I'd bring in.

Cotterpin (off-screen): Hey!

Kelly (laughs): Don't worry, you're my favorite. I'd never leave you out.

*walks out into hallway* Oh, hey Kelly, hi Ed, what's up?
Gobo: *to Wembley* It's about time she got out 'o that chair.
*calling over shoulder* I heard that! *to others* I've just been spending a lot of free time reading and reviewing a lot of Harry Potter fanfiction. After seeing the movie, I've gotten back into it after realizing I'd been out of the loop for a while. I wish I'd been back in time to see it with you guys. Also I've been busy with a lot of family stuff; went to see Jesus Christ Superstar at our local high school with my mom the other day. So in other words, I haven't been around a lot.

Rully? That sounds great Kate. Is there much HP fanficdom though? Haven't read any to tell the truth. I made my own contemporary character, but it's not jotted anywhere. Basically it's just a matter of copying a few key details as the books progressed the overall story. As far as the movie, the only thing I disagree with was the burning down of the Burrow. Would've loved the scene where Harry shows the minister his scars on his hand. Oh well... Gonna nap for a little while. Good to see you. *Handshake/hugs.

Kelly: Hey, Kate! Gotta register for my last nursing class next week. Other than that, and wondering how the little snip-snip procedure will go for Bear and Sarah in August, that's about all I've been up to lately.

Cotterpin: A-HEM.

Kelly (sighs, nods): Yeah, and I've been thinking about Cotterpin and Waldo's story. Waldo hasn't been around much lately to help out, so I'm kinda wondering where the story should go.

Cotterpin: Well, it's not like we're married or nothin', so you don't have to go writin' one.

Kelly: Writing one what?

Cotterpin: Wedding. It's a bunch of foo-foo nonsense. It's something a fraggle might do. *gasps, to Gobo and Wembley* Uh -- no offense, guys. *giggles nervously*

Kelly: Well, trouble is coming up ahead. That much I know for sure.

Cotterpin: You're not gonna try an' kill me again, are you?

Kelly (sighs): You're NEVER gonna let me live that down, are you?

Cotterpin (grins): Nope! Never!

*blushing slightly* Sorry about that, had to run for a bit. *laughs, to Kotterpin* That's alright. I don't think the boys are really into that foofoo stuff either, nor Red. If Mokey were here on the other hand...
*to Ed* Actually, the HP section of fanfiction.net is the fastest growing section on the site. Of course, not all of it is good, but it's still funny how if you're reading a story you like, you better save it to your favs right away, 'cause it's unlikely you'll see it again unless you do a very careful search.
