Hmmm, wonder if anyone'd be interested in a fishfry later today. Gonna go to the supermarket and buy some groceries... Would be nice if friends showed up. But I know they're busy with their lives. *Tosses Oreos at Ailie, maybe that'll get her to post more story?

Cotterpin (drives up to Ailie's room, leaving muffins): They're made from ingredients from the Gorg garden ... guaranteed fresh and fully organic. And I really enjoyed driving around with you, Mr. Zoot!

Aargh! Just avoided a bad scare with banning one of these stupid spammers that keep trying to sneak into town and ruin the place for the rest of us.

Kelly (takes a day off, sighs as she reclines in the common room): Boredom sucks.

Pearl (reading a magazine about Texas): Uh-huh. *sniffs* I think someone's got some fish around here. We could go scroungin' around for some.

Cotterpin (sighs): I miss Waldo.

Hoggle (sighs): I miss Sarah.

Kelly and Pearl: >_> <_< *giggles*

Hoggle: Shut up.

Kelly (nods): It is sad when friends don't want to talk to you anymore.

Pearl: I didn't know none were mad at us.

Kelly: Oh, they aren't mad. We're just low on their list of things to do now. That's why I took that job you offered at the saloon. Work helps take my mind off things. HOPEFULLY, our old friends who moved out at the end of the last semester will come back. I see Kiki and company are on the roster, but I haven't had a chance to meet up with them yet. Hmm ... I wonder what a low census does to the utility bills around here.

*The spooks set to work at the grill and oilpot. Ah, smell that codfish sizzle. As for me, I'm peeling some hardboiled eggs, those yolks who are hard to crack, unless it's a pretty dame in one of those detective novels... *Rambling. *Making a simple seven-layer salad. Corn cobs and fish filets are tended to over the coals.

Oh, I hope tonight's the FN Challenge with the Sesame character cakes.
*Rings alarm bell, signaling all dormies who want to come to come and eat. French fries and tortilla chips with a light mayochup dip are set on the table.

If anyone wants some, we're set out in the patio. If not, well, leftovers will be stored in the fridge.

Kelly (comes out on the patio with her roomies, grabbing a fish fillet and some French fries): Thanks, guys.

Pearl (taking one of everything): Yeah, this sure does smell delightful.

Cotterpin: Uh, I think I'll try the salad.

Kelly (handing her some): Here ya go.

Hoggle (cautiously takes some salad and corn on the cob)

Kelly (singing in the shower): Wake up in the morning! Get myself to work!

Pearl (putting on makeup): Lizards never fool around, lizards never shirk!

Cotterpin (flipping through a manual): Your duty's always waiting, and duty must be done!

Kelly (laughs, getting dressed): There's drinking games that must be played --.

Pearl (shakes her head): Oh, I believe you're wrong!

Kelly (snaps her fingers, pouts): Awww.

All: Workin', workin', workin', workin'. Workin', workin', workin', workin'!

Hoggle (rolls his eyes): I'd likes to tell the story of what my works is for: a tale of toil an' scrubbin' long so the Bog won't stink no more!

Cotterpin (laughs): But don't forget, I'm architect! The Doozers build supreme! I draw and plan then deadpan and go and get ice cream!

Pearl (putting on her boots): When I was just a baby, Pappy used to roam.

Kelly (nods): So did mine.

Pearl (nods): Mama told me, Pearly girl, you're work won't be at home! Go to where you're goin', come back when you've been! Get out that door an' sing some more, an' tweak Earl when ya can! An' you'll be workin', workin', workin', workin'!

Cotterpin (knocks on Ailie's door): Zoot? Zoot? Let's go do something today. *inhales deeply before singing* There is life outside your dorm room -- I know it's hard to conceive. But there's life oustide your dorm room, and you're only gonna see it if you leave! There is cool stuff to do but it can't come to you, and who knows, Zoot? You might not be bored! There is life outside your dorm room, but you gotta open the door!

 

[The Count]

*Ed heads off to the bat-room for a quick shower, stomach rumbling, he hums the tune to M Monster Meal.

*Count is spending some quality time with Fatatatita, who purrs a little sadly as she misses Gaffer, her sister-in-paw.

*Uncle D knocks, and getting no reply at Room #7 leaves the following note: "Scooter, your number's up. Report to Room 1 for preliminary fittings."
*He scribbles down a mad evil laugh.

*The guys are in Room #1, bathed and ressed for bed after some yummy king crab taco-shelled salads. We're listening to MCR as we wait if Scooter'll show up before we fall asleep.
