Kelly (arm in arm with Spike, still in her nursing student uniform): Oh, hi! I'm Kelly ....

Spike: Yo.

Pearl (rolls eyes): That boy ovah there is Spike. An' you met me. The only two yer missin' from room 2 is that journalist fella and Cotterpin.

Spike (whispers to Kelly): Ain't Floyd ...?

Kelly (nods, whispers): I'm dying to know how this'll turn out. DYING, I tell you. *to Aly* Newsie's off doing something, um, news-like, and Cotterpin's staking out the new amusement park site over on ABC Artery. Do you guys need a map of town?

 

[RedPiggy]

*outside the Dorms, Kelly, Pearl, and Cotterpin watch Newsie and Spike compete in an obstacle course*

Newsie (hiking up his pants and adjusting his glasses): You're going DOWN, Blue Lagoon!

Spike (laughs): What makes you think you CAN, Four-Eyes?

Newsie (preparing to run): That walnut in your skull must've shriveled! Was that the best you could do?

Spike (growls briefly): You ain't been important enough ta come up with GOOD ones.

Newsie (dashes across rows of tires): Let's see YOU have this much agil --eeeee! *trips and somersaults through several tires*

Spike (laughs, slapping his knee): I got more moves dan dat stupid dancin' game! *stumbles over a tire that gets stuck on his big boots, falling flat on his face*

Pearl (eating popcorn)

Kelly (eating a hot dog)

Cotterpin (sipping a fruit smoothie): Spike's gonna get it, isn't he?

Kelly (grins)

Newsie (struggling to hop over the remaining tires and leap across a sand pit)

Spike (using his tail to wisk away the remaining tires and runs and leaps over the sand pit in a single bound)

Kelly: O_O Wow.

Pearl: Mmmm! That boy sure does have some drumsticks on HIM!

Kelly (shakes head): Totally taken.

Newsie (notices the rings tied onto a scaffolding he'll have to swing across, but he's far too short to reach, so he runs up Spike's back and grabs on, using his momentum to swing nearly all the way across)

Spike: O_O *rolls jacket sleeves up* Dat's it, you yella-bellied piece of ape meat! *grabs rings, is too heavy and the scaffolding comes crashing down and the rings get caught on his spikes*

Kelly (applauds): You're doing great, honey!

Spike: SHADDUP!

Newsie (crosses finish line): I did it! I did it! *jumps up and down*

Newsie (wiping off sweat, sitting next to Cotterpin at Everybody Eats): So, Cotterpin, what did you think?

Cotterpin (smiles): You'd give Red a run for her fur.

Newsie: Uh, I'll take that as a compliment, I guess.... I thought you were building an amusment park?

Cotterpin: I've been kind of sick, actually.

Newsie: Oh?

Cotterpin: I've come down with D-A-R-H syndrome.

Newsie: I can't say I'm familiar with that one.

Kelly (across from Cotterpin): She's saying she's deprived of ARH.

Pearl (after ordering for everyone, next to Kelly): I don't reckon I'm too fond o' science fiction, mahself.

Spike (on the other side of Kelly): C'mon, toots ... don't you know what's goin' on?

Kelly (frowns): It's not my tale. I haven't a clue.

Spike: Ah, well, I just woulda thought you'd have the inside scoop. Pearl an' I are bettin' on da ultimate fates of da characters therein.

Kelly (sticks out her tongue, smiling): No, you're not! You just make sure I don't look at the main character wistfully.

Spike (biting his lip, but can't resist): At least you came to your senses and realized you're not into electric appliances.

Kelly (gawks): Dude!

Newsie (blushing, hiding his face in his hands): Dear Lord ....

Spike (nearly dying laughing): 'Ey, once you had 'saur, you don't ask fer more ....

Kelly (trying to hide under the table)

Pearl (giggles)

Cotterpin (to Newsie): You should invest in earplugs. It's really the only way to survive living in room 2.

Cotterpin: Woohoo! Score us! Room 2 rocks!

Newsie (groggy as he wakes up): Unh? What do you mean?

Cotterpin: We posted this before Ailie!

Newsie (grumbles and goes back to sleep)

Kelly (wakes up from a nap): Ew! *shoves Spike off her* Stop licking my face! Dude!

Spike: We got a drive by, er, walk by, Super Soaking. Buzzard Beak.

Kelly (jumps off the sofa): Oh, it's ON now! To the armory!

Spike: We got an armory?

Kelly: Uh, sure, why not?

*Kelly and Spike break into Ailie's room and decorates the entire thing in neon pink, Hello Kitty faces, fragrant colorful flowers, little white bunny rabbits hopping everywhere, teddy bears stuffed in all their pillows, and Barney music piping in from an air conditioner vent.*

Spike (sticks out his tongue): I t'ink I'm gonna be sick. I'm gonna go take a shower.

Kelly: Is there any way to make this room cuter? *snaps* Ah! *plants a display of cotton candy in the middle of the room, sneaks out with Spike*

Hey Kelly, could you help me with the demons from the performance of The Devil Went Down To Georgia from TMS?
*Automatically psychokinnetically shuts down the offending music Room 2 planted in Room 17. *Eyes glowing a bit. What'd I say about that subject? ! ?

Cotterpin, Pearl, and Newsie (look at Kelly, points to her): She did it!

Kelly: Uh, short attention span?

Spike (smirks): At least she didn't sing along. *shudders*

*Eyes still glowing: Don't let it happen again.
*Calms down. So yeah, if you could help with those demons, I'd appreciate it.

Kelly (replaces the evil music with the theme from Elmo's World): Ok, I fixed it. Oh, and Ed? Right now I am actually trying to study for a test. *nods* Out of character for me, I know. However, I really need to do well on it. Endocrine stuff has a lot of lab values and drugs to memorize.
