Wait a minute. Judy Collins was with Snuffy and this was in the 70s before he was revealed to the adults on the show? Does this mean celebrities could see Snuffy but not the regulars on the show? If that's the case why didn't the celebrities just tell everybody that Big Bird was telling the truth about Snuffy? This sounds interesting.

I never seen it, but that's exactly what I thought. Also, I heard a sound file from "Julie on Sesame Street", and it sounds like Bert and Julie Andrews could see Snuffy. Weird.

By the way, the "Madrigal Alphabet" is most likely the same tune and lyrics as the cartoon version.

You won't believe this, but I have this on episode #2367 from 1987! It seems that back then, there really weren't too many limits on the show on the word "outdated." In other words, they could use pretty much anything as far back as Day 1. Not only was he imaginary back then, but it was the old Jerry Nelson-voiced Snuffy. However, the only time you can really tell that it IS Snuffy is when he says, "Oh, I'm sorry." For most of the song (or the whole song) he sings in a completely different operatic voice.

It takes place in a concert hall, and there is a red curtain behind them. Yes, they do see each other. They sing together.

How different is the Nelson-voiced Snuffy from the Marty Robinson Snuffy of today anyway? He didn't sound that different on Christmas Eve on Sesame Street (though I don't think that was Jerry), yet I have heard a Nelson Snuffy on MC Radio and he didn't sound much like Snuffy, so I'm sort of curious.
