Looking at Oscar’s movements, it honestly looks like Caroll is still puppeteering him there, though it’s hard to tell as well. I would otherwise guess it could be possible Jerry was performing him with how he and Billy appear to be a little slow with lip-syncing.

I would assume Jerry was doing Herry there (even if his voice isn't heard).

Regarding the "J for Jacket, Jenny and Jeff" cartoon segment, were the sound effects used as the jacket was illustrating verbs starting with J the same ones from the Hanna-Barbera sound effects library? When "jiggle" was being demonstrated, the sound effects then sounded like wind chimes. I know there were many older cartoon segments that utilized Hanna-Barbera sound effects, such as "E for Elephant and Elk", "Tommy Trueheart's 11 lions", "Number Elimination" (the one with a rare cartoon cameo by Cookie Monster), "Boy assembling a green and red monster" and "The R Wizard". I did read that Hanna-Barbera sound effects were used as recently as the 2000s - particularly in the 2002 version of the opening theme, especially when blocks that showed "D, B, C" were being rotated.

Honestly while I’ve loved the Peter Piper’s P Proudcts skit from season 16 with the fast-talking John Moschitta Jr. since I was a kid, I at the same time always hated seeing those snacks get completely wasted at the end. I dunno, I just hate seeing food get wasted like that.

Also, I find it humorous how Porter thinks potato chips are fine because they’re snacks yet peanuts have to go despite also being snacks, lol.

I noticed that the Sesame Street News "London Fog" segment seems to have been one of the more popular Kermit news reports, given it was rerun a LOT until 1993. It debuted in episode 2360, only five episodes into Season 19, and it aired four more times that season (including in episode 2404 when Maria and Luis fall in love, and the series finale episode 2485 when Maria and Luis get married!) Then it was rerun six times in Season 20, three times in Seasons 21, 23 and 24 respectively, twice in Season 22, and one last airing in Season 25 (in episode 3142). The editors putting together the segments for these episodes must've really loved that "London Fog" segment!
And yes, as I mentioned before, this was the segment where the "NEWS FLASH" logo rapidly zoomed in just as the Yakity Yakity Yak did right before it in episode 3012. :stick_out_tongue:
But I can imagine someone watching the show around 1988-93 and being like "THIS one again?" after it fades from the "NEWS FLASH" intro to the foggy London setting with the tuba foghorn.

I honestly only ever saw that one on Noggin’s 123 Sesame Street in 2003 (shortly before they eventually got axed).

I’d say the one I remember seeing the most during the ATC era is either Peter Piper’s peppers (a favorite), the J mine (also a favorite) or the “Bird Family Song” (which this one has always been heartwarming for me in its own right).
