Prairie Dawn: Oh, Cookie Monster, you just ate the letter of the day! (cries)
Cookie Monster: Oh, me sorry.
Lefty: (suddenly showing up) Psst! Hey, buds!
Cookie Monster: Who, us?
Lefty: Shhh!!
(Cookie Monster makes a startled reaction)

Lefty: Riiiight.
Prairie dawn: What do you want?
Lefty: I hear that this monster just ate the letter of the day.
Prairie dawn: Yeah.
Lefty: Well, I've got an extra letter L to sell to you! (opens trenchcoat and reveals an L)
Prairie dawn: Oh, good, now I can talk about words like "Letter", "love", and "lavendar".
Cookie Monster: And we can talk about words like "like", "look", and "Locamotive".
Lefty: And the letter L also stands for my name, Lefty.
Prairie dawn: yeah, so we can use that L to list some L words.
Lefty: But it will cost you just a nickle.
Prairie Dawn: a Nickle? That's a bit high, but... oh, wait, we just talked about soem L words. We don't need an L anymore.
Lefty: What? But.. but you still need...
Prairie Dawn: Get that L out of here! (leaves)
Lefty: Fine! (leaves)
Cookie Monster: Oh, but wait, me got nickle! Me hungry! Hey, me got nickle...

I loved that. It's too bad they didn't have some Lefty moments with characters other than Ernie on real Sesame Street.
They could have had great potential.
