Just saw Follow that Bird

I just rented the FTB dvd a few days ago, and i started crying at one of the frist scencs and keep crying though out the intier movie. When Big bird is telling everyon bye i was a mess in tears, i thought oh man he is really leaving.

Hats off to carol Spinny for an exilent preformance as not only Big Bird but even Oscar had a wonderfull line " That the nices thing you ever said to me." This was one of the best muppet movies of al time all the muppeters did such a wonderfull job.

The songs where also very good "One little star" brings a tear to my eye every time i hear it is is so well sung. i
This is a wonderful moive that will trully go down in Muppet history.

My favorite line was at the end, when Cookie Monster had eaten almost all or Gordon and Susan's car. Susan says "Our insurance company will never believe this".

Even though I was considered 'too old' to watch Sesame Street in 3rd grade, I went to see this movie in theaters anyway then because I liked Muppets that much. I do remember it being a pretty cute movie. Who doesn't like Big Bird?

possibly the best part is that furry little red monster that has taken over our show only appears for a split second when big bird arrive back to sesame street. and i don't miss him one little bit.

Well, Bob never actually worked at Hooper's Store. He was just seen there in the movie cause that's where they all gathered before heading out to find Big Bird. They used it as a sort of HQ.

Oh, if someone could please help me out. I'd appreciate it if you could post the names of the actors who portrayed the roles of Mr. Postman, and Airline Passengers 1 and 2 from when Big Bird's flying to Oceanview.

Refresh my memory. Was anyone actually working behind the counter at the store. It was after Mr. Hooper died and David wasn't in the movie. I seem to remember Grover there and looking like he was watching the counter, but I could be wrong.

Yes, Follow That Bird was truly Sesame Street at its best. I remember when I fist saw it. I was so intrigued with how they mixed the typical innocence of the show with a sinister element like the two thugs who abducted Big Bird. Towards the end, I kept wondering how it was going to possibly resolve. Was there going to be a confrontation between the thugs and the Sesame Street characters? A fight? But, no, of course not. In the Sesame Street world, they were able to stop the thugs and rescue Big Bird without any violence at all. It was extremely well done and sadly, I don't think anything like it can ever happen again, especially if Elmo In Grouchland is an example of things to come.
