Well, abi, you're american. Wouldn't you know if there was a poem about poppies (which are not a part of your Remembrance a.k.a. Veterans' day at all) by a Canadian Soldier, on your 10-dollar bill?
Long story short: Canadian.
I'm really proud that it's on our (extremely purple) 10-dollar bill. Plus, your bills are all uniform. All our bills are differnt colour and have different examples of canadian history and literature. The 5 is blue with hockey players, the 10 is purple with Flanders Fields poem and poppies, and the 20 is green, the 50 is red, the 100 is brown.
But yeah, back to the topic: Remembrance day. I've had my poppy since the end of October.
