It's Official: Sesame Channel to arrive fall 2005

I thought that the muppets were sold to some company in Germany, and just recently sold back to the Henson Family. Am I wrong?

The Sesame Street Muppets (and Fraggle Rock characters) are not owned by Disney or anyone else; they are (respectfully) owned by Sesame Workshop and the Jim Henson Company.

The Muppet Show, Muppet Movies, Muppet Babies & Bear in the Big blue house = Disney (owner)

Fraggle Rock, Mother Goose Storys, Hoobs, & Emmit Ottter = Henson(owner)/HIT!(partner)

Sesame Street, Big Bag = Sesame WorkShop (owner)

Hooray! Sounds great! Hopefully, they'll show stuff from all the "Sesame Street" episodes -- especially Roosevelt Franklin, early pinhead Big Bird, orange Oscar, the letter/number pusher, the guy who would bang his head on the piano, and lots and lots of old animated clips.

I imagine it'll be on a satellite package that I'll have to add, but if they do it right, it'll be well worth it.

...or better still, just put 'em all out on DVD...

HIT doesn't really own them, they just distribute them.

sesame street 35th season is now appearing on demand on cablevision -- nj.

Go to Henson.com and you will see what Disney Owns. As in Speicals, episodes and other shows. It will show every show that Henson let Disney buy.
