can the muppets succed with Kermit retiring or staying i would love a weekly Muppet show but i think that kermit can't be involved

there are post here asking what happed to the classic characters i think we need new charcaters to stand up and lead well the old ones fade away into there glorie i think lingering Miss Piggy and Fozzie, gonzo and Kermit are tarnishing thier images
can you explain why they should eliminate him? that's rediculous. you can still have old characters and if you don't like him, fine but why can him?

Yeah, it would not make any sense to lock away Kermit. Why would you do that? He is the symbol of the Muppets. That is like getting rid of everything Mickey Mouse. People are complaining enough that we barely see Rowlf or Beau or the Electric Mayhem, so how is fading away Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie and Gonzo gonna do any good. That would leave us with Muppet production centering around Johnny Fiama, Sal, Pepe, Clifford and Bobo. Do you really expect that to play well with an audience?! I don't think so. You might as well discontinue the Muppet legacy all together. You know how ****** off people would be? Just THINK about that.
Kimp, what exactly do you expect to happen with this plan? No offense, but the idea is a little impossible.

I agree.

At any rate, you explained it so I finally understood your point. Hope you didn't think I was trying to 'take you out' or anything. Everyone here is my buddy!!

Truthfully, I think they need to stop making new characters and just give us the old ones under The Muppets title, and get some GOOD STORIES so we don't have to suffer them into nostalgia any longer to see good productions.

But, go ahead and create NEW PRODUCTIONS with new characters, and if it pans out (or helps to do it) start bleeding in our Muppets! Fraggle Rock is the super example of how this is both exciting AND works.

They just need to go back, study what has been done to keep the Muppets popular, and use that knowledge to reinforce what they want to do, and I bet it would be better. We all know and love TMS versions of our friends, and those personalities of the characters are the ones we expect to see when we see them now. That's what we long for, and I hope it happens.

Well, it's all over now. Sometimes reading the last couple of posts before jumping to conclusions is a good thing, and I suggest it--especially in a forum. Sorry about those posts, but you handled it very well.

I normally read all the post. Well not maybe all beecause some threads have litearly hundreds of replies in them but enough so I know what's going on, and if I'm in doubt I just reply to the first message on the thread which started the originial topic.

lol... I think everyone here knows how I feel about Steve and his Kermit impression. Steve may be good as a performer, but, well, I think I'll stop there...

I read all the posts before replying. Sorry, maybe I got confused. I am just trying to understand. Don't attack. I'm not.
