Well, the bottom line is, it does all depend on a person's individual comfort level. Although I must admit, it does kinda bother me when people seem to have the idea that the world is out to get them, and no one can be trusted.

I agree that it does depend on ones personal comfort level and it vary with every individual. And it is true that not very person in the whole world is out to get you (not pointing the finger at anybody) and that the are some really nice and descent people out there who are trust worthy just as there are some people who are not so much. It's important to be cautious but not to live in constant fear.
