This thread was really amusing to read through.
To answer the question though... I like the puppet video library encyclopedia idea.... Or what about A machine that could make things dry fast, how many hours have we all wasted waiting for contact cement, or paper mache, or the like to dry?

good idea also if your puppet was wet with water like if you did a scene with the puppet in the pool.

and I wish I had a machine that made eyes for puppets that move like gonzo's.

I would have a machine that would sew the antron fleece butted up together with out a seam to make sewing antron faster.

oh and an Eye maker what ever size I wanted it would pop it out!
