I got back from my cruise yesterday afternoon, but was kind of tired to post the details last night. Now I'm OK.
To start with,5 out of the 7 days had gorgeous weather.(the other 2 were rainy, and wouldn't you know it,they were days that we were docked to go off sightseeing:rolleyes: But we did anyway.) There was Tortola Grand Turk & St. Maarten. All excellent ports! We had bus tours on all 3 & they were beautiful!
The food on the ship was absolutelutely to DIE for! (insert Swedish Chef icon for delicious!) I'm a big lover of fish so I ordered fish for almost all the dinners. They had lots of delicious breakfasts as well. One of them was flower shaped waffles topped w/ fruit, strawberry syrup & whipped cream.Yummy!
And finally in reference to my "Calypso Kathy" I made a few pages back about hoping to find a nice sweet guy on the cruise.I found one!Sweet and kind, yes. And his behind (from what I saw, since he was wearing pants) was good looking too.But first of all,he was our cabin steward. Secondly,he's from Indonesia. And third...he's newly married!DRAT....DRAT....DRAT!! Oh well...can't win 'em all!
Oh yeah...on Wednesday night,my mom & I went to the Piano Bar on the ship to play a musical trivia game.We were sitting there before the game & the pianist started playing this song called "Too Young" by a singer named Nat King Cole.(He was a singer in the 40s) I practically started crying right there because :
a)my dad loved Nat King Cole and I started missing him (my dad) again.
b) my grandfather was an incredible singer and he sang this once or twice for us.He passed away in '92.So I was thinking of him as well.
Other than that, I had a bl...er.....wonderful time!!

Cruises are fun, especially with family and good friends. I've been on a couple myself (to Alaska and to the Galapagos Islands). So glad you had such a good time, Kathy, and welcome home also!

Yes, welcome back! I'm so glad you had a good time!
Is it my imagination, or did I see you here either last night or earlier today?

Thanks for welcoming me back everyone. On the one hand,I miss the amount of fun & relaxation I had on the trip. But as the old saying goes,"All good things must come to an end." Plus I missed my kitties. When I got home, one was glad to see me & my mom. But the other one? I refer to her as my "furry daughter".Anyway, she was perched on my bed & looked at me when I came in like "You're back?Big deal!I'm mad at you because you didn't take me with you!" :stick_out_tongue: She was back to her old self today.
I missed you guys too of course! And don't worry Snowthers...you'll go on a cruise sooner or later..I didn't take my first cruise til last January.

Welcome Back Kathy! One, I'm jealous...a cruise sounds wonderful right about now. Now for the nice sweet guy...just wait. There's someone out there for ya. I'll keep my eye open and send one your way if I spot him. He's out there somewhere! Also, I'm glad your kitty forgave you. My dogs tend to hold a grudge when I just go the store and don't bring them back something! I missed ya around here.
