Pearl (dressed in a white blouse with Christmas, er, Fridge Day lights draped around her, rocking out her guitar and singing)
(To the tune of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town”)
Well, this is the hour,
Hide the fridge’s cord,
Don’t feel so sour,
‘Cause you can’t afford –
Presents for your lovely, tonight!
Mammals and Lizards,
Both having a blast,
We ain’t got blizzards,
‘Cause snow just won’t last –
Have fun and remember, no fights!
Forget the ‘frigerator,
Turn on the TV set,
We’ll catch some football and some beer –
And sell this song on cassette!
Well, this is the hour,
Get up and go dance,
We got the power,
To score some romance –
‘Cause I’ll be honest, she’s quite a sight!
Spike (dressed as much as possible like James): I'm not doin' dis.
Kelly (dressed like Jessie): Oh, yes ... yes, you are. *evil grin*
Spike: But we're missin' a part.
Kelly (shakes head, grinning, keying up the
song): Got it taken care of! *coughs* This is for all our fans!
Spike (rolls eyes): We ain't got any fans.
TINY FEMALE VOICE: But we will after this!
Spike (looks around, confused)
Cotterpin (speeds into the group, with a gold oval object glued onto her architect's visor)
Kelly (sultry, glancing at Spike with a sparkle in her eye):
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire ....
Spike:
Jack Frost nippin' at yer nose. Ugh.
Cotterpin:
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir -- an' folks dressed up because they're froze.
Spike (slobbering):
Ev'rybody knows ... a turkey an' some ... *whispers* mistletoe.
Kelly (glomps him):
Help to make the season bright! *smooches him*
Cotterpin:
Tiny tots, with tools wrapped in bows!
Spike (tries to shake off Kelly): Ain't gonna get no sleep tonight....
Kelly (giggles): So? *continues singing*
They know that Santa is on way.
Spike (wags his fingers in a bored fashion): I'm gonna go to bed.
Cotterpin (excitedly singing):
He's loaded lots of tools an' stuff on his flatbed!
Kelly (pumps up her fist): Hooray! *sings*
To see if Stantler really know how to fly!
Cotterpin (shakes her head): I don't think this song is rhyming very well.
All (sings):
And so we're offering this simple phrase --.
Cotterpin:
Though we want to be inclusive to all you....
All:
We're gonna say it many times, many ways ...
Merry Christmas!
Happy Hannukah!
Happy Kwaanza!
Happy Fridge Day!
Happy Festival!
Happy Solstice!
Happy Tool Build!
Spike (whispers): Is dat it?
Kelly (whispers): I think so.
All:
To yooooooouuuuuuuuuu!
