Hey everyone,

I was in the mall today and it hit me! The best thing we should do about the peg warmers that stores have(Kermit, Piggy, Teeth and Bunsen, heck even Beaker) and then there is the new assortmant, What I suggest all of us here is buy 1 or 2 of those figures that are sitting around and put them towards Toys For Tots. After all Henson and Palisades have done for us, we will be helping them and helping kids too. 7-15 dollars is not much to spend. Just think it will help sales and clear any leftover figs that are around, and it will put our favorite characters in the hands of children (just think how much a gift means to these kids, and think of the joy that one of the muppets could give)

I urge EVERYONE that can, here on the boards, to consider doing this, lets give the gift of Muppets and spread their magic!

if anyone has any thoughts to add to this please feel free.

PS Phil, if you could even maybe make this part of the main page so everyone can share in this, it be great

That's a wonderful idea!

The EB in my local mall is no longer selling ANY action figures. The ones that the do have are buy one get one free. They have a couple of the ugly Miss Piggy figures left, so I may go over there and buy one and get the other one free all in the name of charity!

You have me ready, I would love to be part of a cause like this! What's your reasoning for using Toys For Tots as our charity?

I'm going to guess because Toys for Tots gives toys to needy children.

Great idea - I will have to pick one up and find a drop box.

Haha, okay good point, but I understood that much. I meant why over other charities that give toys to needy children are we choosing Toys for Tots?

I don't think it matters which charity we give to. The point is to get toys, and Muppet toys specifically, to kids who might otherwise not get any toys this month. Toys for Tots or the Salvation Army or a local church group-- whatever works for you.

You dont need to use Toys For Tots, its the 1st one that popped in my head cause i saw a box for them in the mall, feel free to give to any charity or church that is collecting for needy kids.
I'm glad that so many of you like this idea, I feel this will get the Muppet word out there and make some needy kids smile.

Thanks again for everyones support!

If we want lets keep this thread goin to get more folks into it

Happy Holidays to all!!!

I'm already giving out a few of these to friends. My thought is if these are posed by computer monitors at work then more people will become curious about the line.

As a note - more of the EB stores have stopped carrying action figures. I think they just want to sell figures online. It's likely easier that way too. I just like picking them out myself. I think that's a bad idea, but the stores in my area don't eben answer their phone so it seems they have enough video game business.
