:halo: "BAD PUN!"

Anyways! This thread is to disscuss Herry... Strongest Sesame street monster.
Herry's voice causes sonic booms I have just learned. And also, he was preformed by Jim Henson once. With Cookie Monster.
Did Herry actually ever talk to Big Bird, Bert, Oscar, or Count?

Oh, of course! All the time, especially back in the earlier days. Not sure how much direct interaction Herry has had with The Count considering they are both performed by Jerry Nelson and sometimes that gets to be complicated. I do know that Herry has interacted with Big Bird a number of times. They even sang "Happy To Meet You" together with Celine Dion. He has also been in scenes with Bert a lot too, mostly in Prairie Dawn's pageants I believe.

How about Oscar, besides the original C is for Cookie? I have never seen Oscar and Herry beyond that...

Herry and Oscar have been seen together before. In the 1986-1987 Season Oscar made Herry hold up a barbell while he counted to 10. Slowly :grouchy:

There's a song that Herry and Rosita did sing on Sesame Street. There playing in the park taking care of their monster dolls and Rosita sings a song about napping and Herry falls alseep. Pretty funny. I'm not sure about Snuffy or Herry together. Herry is one of my favoite Monsters as well as Grover and Cookie Monster. There's a thread called "Muppet Dorms" and I (for my roomies) I have Herry, Cookie Monster and Grover.

Beautiful Day Monster was only on the show for the first season. Herry first appeared in the second season, so thye wouldn't have appeared together on Sesame Street. They appeared in the same frame in The Muppet Movie, and might have both appeared in some of the same frames in The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years, but they never interacted.

There was an episode where Herry helped Rosita try to find herself a best friend, only for Herry to end up becomming her best friend (and then Herry hardly appeared on the show after that).

I LOVED Herry Monster as a kid! His look was cute and his voice was funny! But it always puzzled me why in the books, Herry Monster wore pants (most illustrators depicted him clad in white-and-pink striped pants, but Tom Cooke's illustrations of Herry had him in purple pants with orange spots), and why on the show he was a nudist? If they made legs for the Herry puppet, they could've made white-and-pink pants for him to wear. I think he'd look good in them!

Herry may have been the only monster known to wear clothes at all (with the exception of Zoe now in tutus.)

Clothes?

Now I remember reading books and seeing him wearing these pink and white stripped pants but he generally didn't wear anything on the show and as usual we didn't he his whole body as in the case with most of the muppet monsters.
