I loved love loved the PAWS series of folders, notebooks, posters, and trapper keepers Garfield use to have in the early 90's, and the neon colors they used for his name label :excited:
Me too. I also liked the Read-Along stories Garfield used to have. I used to have one, but I lost it. :stick_out_tongue:

Odie was always goofy looking.
I know . I like the classic Odie that was a little more dog like...But the live action Odie just wasn't as good to me..His tongue has to be long :3

YAY GARFIELD! My 3rd favorite comic (Calvin and Hobbes and Charlie Brown are my 1st nd 2nd).

I can actually draw Garfield and Odie from memory, but only their heads. But that right there is a big accomplishment for me. I generally cant draw from memory, but if I am atually looking at what I am drawing I can draw it pretty good, sometimes dead on (*cough*Floyd*cough*)

AANNNYYYWWAAAYYY...I have this cute Garfield Beanie Baby. Hes sitting on my shelf. I also have this comic book that has the comics wher they go camping, go to hollywood, and go to...some island. I kinda lost it though.

I loved Garfield and Friends. Boomerang used to show it, but then they just stopped. when we first got it a year ago they used to show all kinds of great shows, Garfield being one of them. Then they took all the good shows off. Not saying the Jestsons and the Flintstones arent good, but they show the same 5 episodes over and over.

But back to Garfield. I actually liked the movies, but I didnt like how they made odie a real dog.

I think that actually made theses into specials.
The books were the adaptions of the specials. They were made almost simultaneously.

I never wanted to see the movies for that reason. Why is Garfield the only CGI animal in the film? Odie can't be a regular dog anymore than Brain (of Inspector Gadget) or Underdog. A real dog wouldn't do Odie's stupidity any justice. Especially if Garfield kicked him off the table in the movie. There's a lot of subtlety to a Dog that acts like he can understand the humans, and can react in an almost human way.

BTW, andyone know if they're actually going to make more movies like Garfield Gets Real? I heard it was going to be another Futurama style deal- 3 DTV movies.

There is loose talk of a new cartoon show in the same CGI style, with Frank Welker still playing Garfield.
