No. Hopefully, it does justice to the original.

I hope so too. I recently watched Garfield's latest movie, Garfield Gets Real, and it seemed a lot different from Garfield and Friends.

That one took Garfield out of his element & so, of course, it was different. You can't have everything stay the same, because the one constant in life is change, even if people may not like said change.

I felt like the ending was just tacked on..I think it was because the comic characters that saved the day were just made up for the movie...Now if Grimmy had saved them ...

But the thing is, the intended audience didn't know who Grimmy was. XD

But they didn't know ol' what's his name made up character and his wife ether, so it really won't matter. At least Grimmy has some comics where their parents could say "Look, he really lives in the comic world, see?", where as that other character as no background at all in a real newspaper :coy:

I know. But times have changed.

Meh, that's just the excuse that filmmakers use so they don't have to try as much to introduce older characters to new viewers . Times haven't changed that much, filmmakers just go more of the time for the lazy easy flashy way of doing things :coy:.

And by golly, my future baby is going to know about older newspaper comics and all those other olden days things !

Awesome. If I have children, the same would be true for them, too. But enough of us being retrospective of how we wish things were somewhat back to the way they were...XD

Congrats, Garfield on 30 years of laziness and food consumption. ^_^

But it can be, even if it is only us and a small group of other like minded people. "Be the change you want to see in the world", like they say .

I loved love loved the PAWS series of folders, notebooks, posters, and trapper keepers Garfield use to have in the early 90's, and the neon colors they used for his name label :excited:
