Here's what I put on Facebook: Today is the 70th birthday of famous Muppeteer, Frank Oz! Frank has created wonderful characters like Bert, Grover, Cookie Monster, Miss Piggy,Fozzie Bear, Animal and Sam the Eagle. He also played Yoda in the Star Wars movies. He retired from The Muppets to be a film director, but he still films things for Sesame Street once in a while. To celebrate him, here is his last performance as Miss Piggy and his latest performance as Grover. Happy birthday, Frank! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mMTZOX3miA,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gms-Yk7mzv4.

Frank has mellowed slightly over the years. But once upon a time he has distanced himself from Sesame and the Muppets. Which is really a shame. I wish he could know how special his puppetry gifts are, and know how many people appreciate his work.
From the two times I've seen him, people have showered him with gushing accolades "Oh, Frank, I love Grover and Piggy!!!!", but sometimes all the praise gets him a little uptight.

But Happy Birthday, Mr. Oz. Loosen your tie and enjoy your special day.
