Wow, dwmckim, you put ALOT of thought into this. I'm really impressed. I think you hit the nail on the head with this line:
He may be a physical masochist, but not an emotional one.
I have to admit, you make a really sound argument and I think you summed up Gonzo pretty well. *sigh* Well, a girl can still dream of what never would have been, right? :wink:

For me, at least, I think Muppet Babies had more potential in this than in the "real" world. I'm all for Piggy and Gonzo (and I loved both Gonzo trying to shrug it off in the special features of season 2 AND Kermit and Fozzie getting into an argument about "you know what she says").

I think Piggy gravitated to Kermit because he naturally obtains followers and has a big dream. Gonzo, while not without a dream himself, could not attract the same attention and motivation despite all the crazy things he did (which I love, btw).
