George (from Two G Sounds)

I have heard a sesame street song called "two g sounds". this song featured a character, performed by jerry nelson, named George. when I first heard of this song, I figured that George was a monster, since he sang with Grover, but then his voice sounded a bit soft. so I am wondering: was George a monster or another species? what did he look like? and did this george ever appear in any other segment?

the 2 of them were sitting on top of a hill under a tree and it looks like either early morning as if the sun was rising or late afternoon as the sun was setting. sometimes it was a nice clip probably made in the early 70s.

They often reprise songs and not a "remake" of the scene. The Grover/Gina idea would obviously not be considered a "remake," but rather the two characters bringing back an old song. Do you remember an episode where Bob, Rosita and Telly are sitting on the stoop at night and sing "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon," the song originally done by Ernie? That wasn't a remake, just a bringing back of an old song used in a different way.
