Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I always thought the scene where Miss Piggy does an act with FooFoo, and Rowlf plays piano is funny just because of Rowlf's comebacks. Really shows how funny he is.
1) Rowlf singing "You and I and George"
2) Mahna Mahna playing the triangle with Zoot
3)Kermit getting hit with a pie by Fozzie in the Vincent Price episode
4)"Good grief, Comedian's a Bear" of course
5)Sam's dance in "Old Black Magic"
6) Swedish Chef with Chinese subtitles in Sex and Violence
There are way to many funny Muppet moments to possibly make a list of my favorites, but I was just thinking last night about how I can't help but to crack up when seeing "The Impossible Dream" sketch from the John Cleese episode.
That sketch really shows off Kermit's mischieveous side without making him seem like a jerk.
That "Impossible Dream" thing really feels like Cleese wrote it himself. It really fits into his style of humor.
I'd also like to add the original Monster eating computer skit from the Ed Sullivan show. the one with Luncheon Counter Monster is alright, but the pacing seems thrown off.
My favorite funnies t momnent is Fozzie Bear and Rowlf the Dog. I understand this is the most recognized TMS sketch, but this made me howl with laughter.
