Jm and Frank were both good singers as their characters, but maybe they weren't so good singing with their normal voices

Well, if you think about it Ernie's voice IS Jim's real voice.

There is something about Jim Henson's singing voice that is just so hauntingly pure and simple. Think "Imagination" or "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon". I've shed a couple tears listening to those songs with my daughter singing along.

And don't forget about the huge number of Miss Piggy songs:

Let There Be Love
Pig Calypaso
Never Before, Never Again
Never on Sunday
I Won't Dance

The list goes on and on.

I don't believe Frank sang "Never Before" that was someone else.

Nope. That was Frank's voice. This was discussed on another thread. What happened was that somebody else originally recorded the song, but it was Frank singing as Miss Piggy. Besides I've heard it in an audio recording of the song.

I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but Richard hunt had a great harmonic voice, and I think as a group, all of the Muppeteers sang really well.

Hunt and Nelson were both very talented vocalists, which is possibly one reason why they worked so well together. Their voices blended so well.
