So very sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I too had been wondering about the connection between the Belleville News-Democrat and the movie. I used to live in Belleville and thought it was so neat to see that paper in the movie. I finally stumbled upon the answer....Ken Kwapis grew up in Belleville :smile:
