Hi everyone,
Telly was never really one of my favorite characters, but I just find it so funny during the part in the "Bedtime Stories and Songs" video (i know, I've mentioned that a lot, but it's the only SS video I still have!) where Telly is supposed to sleep over Big Bird's nest and he's naming all the stuffed animals that he can't sleep without. I don't think I ever found it this hilarious until over a decade after I repeatedly watched this video. What are your favorite Telly moments?

Some of My favorite Telly moments are:

Telly (Brian Meehl) sells Kermit a Headwarmer

Telly (Brian Meehl) Spins around and changes into different Animals

Telly (Marty Robbinson) is afraid that if he slides down the slide he will get hurt

Telly (Marty Robbinson) Is tricked by Oscar when Oscar asks him to put on a Helmet, get his Tuba, a Tennis Racket and a Net, Then Uncle Wally tells him he's all set to play his favorite game Racket Tuba net ball

It's unanimous! All the best Telly moments is when he goes into a massive worrying freak out.

Hmmm. Some of the Brian Meehl Telly's I remember. I was thinking the Brian Telly was before my time, but I didn't take into consideration that they still played the skits with Brian's Telly in later episodes.

Let's see. I guess I liked anything with Telly and Oscar. I also liked when he was the "Monster on the Spot."

I definitely believe that's Telly at his best. I liked it when he'd make a big deal over minor things, like when Luis and Maria just got married and were trying to decide where to put things. Telly went into panic because they couldn't decide on something and he thought they wouldn't be able to live together. Telly represents and helps children understand their frightened side just like Oscar helps them understand their grouchy side. At least Telly used to do that; I don't know what he's doing these days on the show. I never cared much for the whole triangle obsession that they gave Telly later on. That seemed to be the kind of thing more appropriated for Bert.

there was one from the late 80s and can't remember how it went but telly was to star in some play and he goes up to David and says he's worried about not being able to think about the stuff he worries about. David sums it up all telling everyone, I can't believe it. he's worried about being worried.

Well, there are still eps where Telly worries about things, such as in the pogo stick episode and the episode where he plays basketball with Baby Bear, but he does seem to be a bit more calm then he used to be.

On the topic of Telly going into a massive worrying freak-out, I also like the part on "Sesame Street Stays Up Late" (the New Year's special) where Telly freaks out about the year changing and declares Sesame Street a "No Party Zone." anyone remember that?
