there are two muppets called Chrissy, and they are both voiced by Christopher Cerf. One of them was a member of the Monotones, and the one you listed has also been called Chrissy (which causes a bit of confusion) and Chris.

I have read that the purple member of the monotones was called Little Chrissy in the song Mounain of Love, but the orange one was incorrectly called Big Jeffy.

I looked at the complete henson database and the information there is what The Count provided. However, i think it is a mistake, but I think that based on the voices in telephone rock.

Well... Since I don't have access to a sung version of Telephone Rock, we'll just have to let this one go until we can get some definitive proof. However... Much like Mr. Johnson, the issue of "Chris/Chrissy" needs to be squelched.

If you're going to refer as Chrissy as the member of the Monotones to differentiate him from Chris of Chris and the Alphabeats, then at least say which is from which musical group to avoid confusion.
Personally, because of the song Four, I have him listed as "Little Jerry and the Monotones: Chrissy".
And I have the other musical group listed as Chris and the Alphabeats. Thinking that maybe they should be separated into two entries, but since it's a musical band they should stay together for now.

Yeah there are those physical feature differences between Fat Blue and Simon Soundman, as noted in this thread. And I've seen them listed as two distinct characters in a lot of SS sites. But I can see where some would wonder if they are the same character. It's especially interesting that both were used as customers for Grover in Charlie's restaurant. (Love that classic, "I'll have a bock bock bock bock BOCK sandwich" ! )

In the sketch where Simon goes to Charlie's restaurant and orders a <bawk, bawk> (chicken) sandwich, he apparently says under his breath, while Grover is back in the kitchen, something like "Boy, my brother was right, this place/the service here is lousy." Of course, in the end, Simon changed his mind -- instead he wanted a hot <ruff-ruff-ruff....>. Notice that at the end of the bacon and egg sketch Mr. Johnson also wanted a hot dog (actually two), so they both seem to have a preference for frankfurters.

For your list, he probably should be named "Chris" since this is what he's most often referred to as.

That's pretty interesting. I remember him mentioning his brother. But I recall him saying, "I don't know why my brother recommended this place, the service is terrible." And the bacon and egg sketch is probably my favorite of these restaurant skits. Loved that part so much where he says, "Uh, you might think this is gonna sound funny but I changed my mind again." And Grover, continuing to get more and more irritated says, "Oh I do not think that sounds funny at all!"

He was also called "Chris" in the video "Count it Higher: great Music Videos From Sesame Street", and in the track listings for the original release of the album "Born To Add", while the re-release calls him "Chrissy".

he was also called "Little Chrissy" at the beginning of the songs "Rock 'N Roll Readers" (this part was edited from the Rock & Roll video) and "Go! baby! Go!"

animal anything muppets

of course, the anything muppets are not just limited to muppets that are supposed to represent humans. there have been many animals that come from anything muppets (although most of them are permaneant puppet designs). frazzle was originally made from the orange anything muppet, but I read that in the late 1990s he was rebuilt as it's own puppet. captain vegetable came from the lavendar anything muppet. the tweedlebugs are all anything muppets. Tito and J.P., the stars of Miami Mice, are made from anything muppets (tito is lavendar, j.p. is green). the trtose and the hare from the sesame street news sketch about the tortose and the hare were made from anything muppets (the lavendar one was used for the hare in both sketches, while the green one was the turtle in the first sketch. in the second one, a normal turtle puppet was used.). the green anything muppet was used as a frog at the beginning of the song This Frog. and there are many anything muppet animals that I have't mentioned.
