Part 16
After some very forgettable acts, Lindy was introduced and brought out. As the piano played the opening to his music, Lindy opened his beak to sing but he faltered when he noticed who was in the baclony: Mr. Lords. Johnny Fiama came to Lindy from backstage and asked him, "Y'okay, kid?"
"Uh... yeah, I'm fine, Mr. Fiama. I just wanted to take a minute to dedicate my performance to my best friend, Mokey. She's always there for us, and we will always be there for her, no matter what. Take it away, Rowlf" Lindy said to the piano player.
"You got it" Rowlf said and resumed playing. Lindy opened his beak and sang:
"The colors of my life
Are bountiful and bold,
The purple glow of indigo,
The gleam of green and gold.
The splendor of a sunrise,
The dazzle of a flame,
The glory of a rainbow,
I'd put 'em all to shame!
No quiet browns and grays,
I'll take my days instead
And fill them til they overflow
With rose and cherry red!
And should this sunlit world
Grow dark one day,
The colors of my life
Will lead a shining light
To show the way."
Everybody stood on their feet to cheer when a shot rang out and Scoop grabbed Lindy off the stage, taking him outside.
The gang gathered around and Mokey said "Oh, Gobo, what'll we do?"
"Well, luckily, I have a house by the ocean a few miles away, I'm sure we'll be safe there." replied Gobo.
