ever play an instrument because of a Muppet?

Have any of you ever learned to play certain instruments because your favorite Muppets played them? Ever consider piano lessons because Rowlf played the piano, or drum lessons because of Animal, or ever consider playing the saxaphone because Zoot, Hoots the Owl, and Flash played the sax?

A few years ago, my mom had asked me if I'd like to learn to play an instrument. Although I ended up not taking lessons, I had considered taking lessons to play either the saxaphoen, because of Zoot, or the trumpet, because of Lips.

Well, while there were a few factors that contributed to my taking guitar lessons, Gobo was definately one of them!

And while I am practicing, or playing at lessons, I do sometimes think of Floyd...

Wouldn't it be intersting if, someday, a famous musician either wrote an autobiographyor was interviewed, and said "My main reason for learning to play the keyboards is because of Dr. Teeth from the Muppets"? Or if someone said in an autobiography, "I chose to play the trumpet because of a little-known Muppet named Lips"?

I started the sax before I knew of , but I really like him for that.

I think I mentioned this some point a while ago, but I have been bugging my dad for a while now to obuy me a bass and teach me to play. He bought me a guitar to start, but I really had no interest in that, so he is now trying to find me a nice beginner bass.

Well I play both guitar and piano, myself.

Although it's not the total reason I wanted to play these instruments, I know both and , had a little something to do with it.

I suggest you do learn to play the guitar , because then it's uber-easy to play the bass . I was told if you do it vice-versa, it's really hard. Besides then you can play two instruments
