I was just thinking of putting a silly post; I wonder how many songs Ernie did that had either a direct or subtle reference to his rubber duckie? I can only think of a few:
There's Honker, duckie, dinger jamboree
Rubber Duckie
Dance Myself to Sleep.
Are there any more?:stick_out_tongue:

There was a few more. Ernie sang Do De Rubber Duck in 1987, a song called D-U-C-K-I-E in 1984, and there was a refference to him in the song Ernie and Bert sang called "things that I remember" from the 29th Season.

:frown: Rubber Duck and Pigeons and the different books wev'e read:frown:

There was a line in the song "But I Like You" where Ernie says that he likes Rubber Ducks, and near the end of the song, Bert mentions that he's not too crazy about Ernie's Rubber Duckie. There is also the song "Put Down the Duckie".

(hmmmm....so let's see...carry over the one and add this to that....) That makes 8 songs so far huh? Quite a few of them. Ernie is really attached to that rubber duckie, funny enough it never had a name, or did it... or is it simply known as rubber duckie?

Rubber Duckie

Rubber Duckie is his name.

"Rubber Duckie, you're the one. You make bathtime so much fun."
