I hope to God you end up being correct.

This little game with Eisner has been going on for too long; so, yeah, I guess I'm suspiciously optimistic -- Did that even make sense? -- that the muppets will not be joining Mickey & Donald.

And personally, I don't think Disney will buy the Muppets and/or Henson. I just don't think they will. Despite all these half-baked articles, it just seems too likely to be likely. I still think it'll be May and we're still talking about these German retards who couldn't sell a real frog and pig if their financial futures depended on it. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I've grown tired of optimism. [/B]

Awww... BoyRaisin!! How can u say that man!???   :sympathy:

Hey, I still WANT it to happen (as long as ALL Muppets are involved), but I don't want to get my hopes up so much. I had officially lost hope and almost moved on in early Dec. after those four suitors were eyeing Henson. Then on Dec. 19, Disney came in with their "upcoming" $135 million bid. Then Dean "I need a job" Valentine came on Christmas Eve and puked on everything.

Though it now seems more likely that Disney will finally buy the Muppets (as the JIM HENSON CO.), I just don't wanna be totally optimistic, 'cause optimism will only just stab me in the back.

And it's been TWO YEARS!!!

Of course seeing as they've sold Prosatbien the bank may well have a little more left in their good will tank and let them have an extension....lets hope not, if they HAVE to go to Disney then lets just get it over with

I think the Prosatbien.1 asset Saban bought was part of the collapsed Kirch Group, so I don't think it effects EM.TV's loan in any way. I don't know, I've always been confused with the whole Kirch-EM.TV relationship.

Though I do agree that EM.TV will probably get yet ANOTHER extension. EM.TV to the bank: "Yeah, about the Muppets. Is it cool if we get one month on that? No? OK, how about 31 more days?"

Prove me wrong, Werner Klatten, prove me wrong. B-yotch...

Thanks for updating that! It has been a looney roller coaster ride, hasn't it?
